@markct
I'm sorry I failed at seeing you in Maryland before you left, but now I have two reasons to visit MICHIGAN. (Also: not sure why that was all caps; my phone has a mind of its own and it's funny so I kept it.) Next summer?

A girl can only be so many places at once!
@markct

markct replied to your photo:
I ate a weight watchers ice cream sammy. Does that count?
SHOW ME UR ABS.
Because of all the snow, they turned our day o'meetings originally scheduled for tomorrow into a real live school day. This is all markct's fault.
23 and 24
23. Inconsiderate people. The type who just expect everyone to drop everything for them at a moment’s notice—especially if they won’t return the favor. And people who chew (loudly) with their mouth open. Also boys who do not reply to my text messages.
24. I’d like to be more settled in my job. I’m not 100% sure if I see myself still at my current school. On a personal note, I’d like to be in a serious relationship by that point. (Ok, in all seriousness I’m kinda hoping I’ll be married by then. But I’ve learned not to put a timeline on that type of stuff.) I want to be working on/have completed my second Masters (in History.) I definitely want to have that done before I have kids because after that I won’t have the time/money to get it done until *much* later.
Tag! Questions
hisnamewasbeanni tagged me with some questions! Here goes!
Rule one: Always post the rules Rule two: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 11 new ones Rule three: Tag 11 people and link them to the post Rule four: Actually tell them you tagged them
1. New planet being settled. You’re part of the “first fleet”. You get to choose whether dogs or cats will be on this world. You can only choose which one. Dogs or cats? Hands down, I say cats. I've had cats my entire life and I'm not quite sure I could go to a planet that didn't have them.
2. Hillary Clinton or Leslie Knope? While I love the character of Leslie Knope, I always tend to go with the real life person in a match up like this. Hillary Clinton has earned her position and then some; she's also a real life bad ass, so there's that.
3. If you had to farewell your favourite childhood toy right now, what would you say? You taught me so much.
4. If you were asked to give a eulogy right now for someone you’d never met, how would it go? I didn't really know ______, and it's hard to say anything about a person even if you knew them better than yourself. But by the lack of dry eyes in the room, I can see that _______ was loved. I can see that s/he had a place in the hearts of all of you. Let us celebrate that.
5. What colour was your childhood home? White siding with a standard brown roof and a red deck (Dad's well-known for buying the cheapest paint he can find when he's doing a project like painting a deck. This is one reason we stopped letting him buy paint years ago.)
6. You’re given the opportunity to instantly become the best in the world at one thing of your choosing. What would it be? I would love to be the best teacher in the world. Can you imagine having the ability to share your love of knowledge and learning with anyone and have them be able to learn it?
7. What are 3 things you’re looking forward to in 2014? I am looking forward to making healthier choices about the things I eat (and my portion sizes), the possibility of coaching a new sport, and trying to buy my first house.
8. What’s one thing you’re looking forward to beyond 2014? The presumption that I will someday find a guy I'm willing to marry and have kids with.
9. Who the eff is Hank? I'm assuming you're referring to Hank Green but I could be wrong. There are many Hanks.
10. What song will they kick off your wake with? I'm figuring something ironic like Ain't No Rest For the Wicked by Cage the Elephant.
11. Assuming for a moment that you want to and are able to get married under ideal circumstances…who would be your dream wedding band? I would want to have a simple platinum band with a small amethyst set with a slightly smaller stone in the color of the birthstone of my theoretical husband on either side of it.
And here are the questions I'm asking:
1. What technology would you be sad to lose?
2. I will be remembered by my students for _______.
3. What is the first thing you notice about a person?
4. When was the last time you spoke to a family member that doesn't live with you?
5. What would you change about the world if you could?
6. What is your favorite place to eat?
7. My parents were ______ when I was growing up.
8. What are your top three favorite TV series of all time?
9. What movie do you watch when you need a good cry?
10. Netflix or cable?
11. If you won $10 million in a lottery or sweepstakes, what would be the first 5 things you would do with the money?
