In Singapore, we call it "Kong Bak Bao" (Hokkien for 'fatty #pork belly #bun'). In #Brisbane - or at least at the rather stylo-mylo #KwanBrothers in #FortitudeValley - it's trippyly called "Pork Bao Bao Yippey Yo Yippey Yay" and the #porkbelly is deep fried instead of steamed, and served with dragon red sauce, picked daikon, coriander and peanuts. Tasty but a tad dry as I'm used to gravy-wet ones my whole life. Just saw the brilliant Oscar Best Film 2017 #Moonlight and the scene that got me excited - sorry, not exactly a spoiler this - was when the protagonist's friend served him a "Chef's Special" which brought me back to my wonderful day trip in #Miami which ended with this unforgettable #meal of #Cuban #steak with #rice, black beans and caramel bananas!!
