Host starts to give Eric cute nicknames like Darling or Little Dove, but only when they’re alone cause they get flustered by everyone’s coos about how cute they are. So one day they’re cuddling on a couch or something and Host showers Eric in nicknames only for another ego to walk in and overhear. Cue them freaking out about the cute couple and them being flustered
Host and Eric were sitting nestled on the couch together, munching on a bowl of popcorn and watching a movie. They had the living room all to themselves that day, and that could only mean one thing.
it was date night. Hell yeah.
It wasn’t often that enough egos had left the house to make it quiet enough to watch a movie, but whenever they did this was what the couple loved to do. No words even had to be spoken anymore. if the living room was empty, they’d just smile at each other and show up five minutes later in their pj’s, holding some snacks. and they loved it.
Host especially loved it because having a whole room just for him and Eric, when none of the other egos were around...
Well, he got the chance to get Eric all flustered without embarrassing him in front of he others.
He noticed that Eric wasn’t paying very much attention to the movie, and a little smirk tugged at his lips. Without warning, he scooped he smaller man up in his arms and peppered his face in little kisses. Eric immediately started giggling.
“H-Hosty stop, you haven’t shaved in two weeks! It tickles!”
“Hmm. Well, The Host could stop, but why would he want to? he loves to make his little dove laugh~.” He ended his sentence with another peck to Eric’s lips. The other went red and he playfully smacked Host’s shoulder.
“Y-You big flirt!”
Host just shrugged. “There’s no point in denying it. it’s hard not to be a flirt when The Host is around his Love.”
“Aww, honey.”
Eric smiled and nestled himself into The Hosts side. Host wrapped an arm around him and pressed a small kiss to the top of his head. Eric closed his eyes and rested his head against his shoulder.
“The Host loves Eric.”
“I love you too, pumpkin.”
“AWW, YOU GUYS ARE ADORABLE!”
Eric’s eyes immediately shot open. There in the doorway stood none other than Wilford warfstache.
“D-Dad, when did you get home? I-I thought you didn’t stop filming your show for another two hours?”
“Ah, it was supposed to be that way, my boy.” Wilford, having no sense of boundaries or social cues, plopped down on the couch and slung an arm around Eric.
“My guest just fell on the floor after I pointed my shooty at him. ‘twas quite rude of him if you ask me.”
“Y-Yeah...”
“Anyway, I must now take my leave. I’ll never be able to get these blasted red stains out of my shirt if i don’t put it in the wash soon. toodles!”
Eric waved. Wilford was about to leave, but then he turned back around, expression surprisingly serious as he looked right at Host. “You take care of my boy now, you hear?”
“Of course.”
Eric had wrapped his arms around Host’s middle and had smooshed his face into his stomach, presumably to hide his blush. Host was running his fingers through his hair gently.
Wilfords expression quickly melted into a soft smile. “Aw, how sweet. Well, I won’t hold up your movie date any longer. Take care, lads!”
With that, Wilford vanished into a cloud of pink, cotton candy scented smoke.
