Darkiplier x GN reader & onesided, slight yandere, Actor Mark x GN Reader
My take on both Dark and Actor Mark are in love with the reader, but reader loves and chose Dark, so because of that that Actor Mark creates games (adwm, ahwn, iswm) for reader to play so he can try and get them to fall for him instead.
“Wow,” Mark said as the two of you walked towards the Warp Core “come on it’s time to end this. That is if that thing actually works. Guess I still got a lot to learn about wormholes. Does this feel right to you? This moment feels kinda final”
As Mark was talking something overcame you and you turned around to walk back down the hall you’d just come from.
“Captain?” Mark asked watching you walk away “we gotta fix the ship! We gotta save the colonists”
Ignoring Mark you kept walking, the faint sound of music reaching your ears the closer you got. Was that disco? Opening the door you were greeted by a figure that had its back facing you.
“You got the feeling” The figure sang as he turned around, the music coming to a stop as Wilford faced you “no! That’s bad. I know why you’re here. You’re looking for an easter egg. No! Wrong, that’s bad. Go back to the main story”
“Main story?” You asked, interrupting his tirade, “Wilford, what are you talking about?” You winced at the pain you felt shooting through your head
“Are you alright?” Wilford asked, stepping closer to you
“M-my head,” You said, holding a hand up to your forehead “I” you reached out with your other hand, grabbing his sleeve as you became dizzy
“Do you need to sit down, y/n?” Wilford asked, placing his free hand on your elbow
“No,” You said, as flashes of unclear memories came to you “I just need a minute”
“Ok,” Wilford said, waiting for you to lower your hand “now get that cute little tuchus of yours back out there” he walked with you the rest of the way to the door
You walked back to where Mark was, rubbing your temples.
“You alright, Captain?” Mark asked, eyeing you suspiciously
“Just a headache,” You said, trying to will the pain way
“Ok,” Mark said, his voice leaking with the suspicions he felt “let’s get to the warp core then”
“Right,” You said opening the door, your vision turning white
Once you were able to see again you saw that you were back on Earth, Mark was dressing in all black, and the two of you were standing in front of a helicopter and car
“Ok, this could be perfect,” Mark said motioning to each vehicle
“Wait!“ You exclaimed, extremely confused as the pain in your head increased “ah!” You grasped the sides of your skull
“Did you hit your head?” Mark asked, placing a hand on your shoulder “let me see” he felt around your head for a bump or blood, finding nothing “let’s take the car, that way I can drive and you can rest”
“No,” You said, firmly “why are we here?”
“For the box?”
“Freeze” A cop yelled as you were surrounded by the police “put your hands in the air!”
“Great” Mark grumbled as you both did as you were told
Eventually, the two of you found yourselves in a prison cell together.
“How’re we gonna get the box now?” Mark asked as you sat on the cell’s bed next to him
“I don’t know” You sighed resting your head on his shoulder
“How’s your head?” Mark asked, placing a hand on your shoulder
“Better”
“Get some rest. We’ll make a plan in the morning”
“Ok,” You said laying on the bed, Mark tucking you in under the covers
You woke up several hours later to Mark laying behind you, his arm wrapped tightly around your waist. Which you thought was weird because there was a second bunk in the room. Grabbing hold of his wrist, you tried to pry it off of you, but he was holding on tight; it was a miracle that you managed to get out of his hold without waking him. Stretching out your back you walked over to the sink in your cell and splashed some water on your face. When you saw your reflection you could tell something was off, especially once the ringing in your ears started. Leaning forward you tried to get a closer look at your almost monochromatic reflection when Mark suddenly appeared behind you.
“You feeling better?”
“Yeah,” You said, turning to face Mark
“Good! You want to start planning now?”
“Sure,” You said as you were led back to the bed
A few weeks had passed since then you and Mark wound up in prison, the two of you had managed to get on the cleaning staff, and Yancy had officially welcomed you to the prison. Today you were alone in the cell, Mark had gone off to try and work his way up to cleaning the warden's office to try and get the box.
“Hey-a there, sweet cheeks,” Yancy said from the other side of your cell bars
“Hi, Yancy,” You said, opening the cell door “come in”
“So,” Yancy said, taking a seat on the toilet as it was the only thing, besides the bed, he could sit on “how’s youse’s adjusting?”
“Fine”
“That guy youse hang around still tryna break out?” Yancy asked
“Yeah” You sighed
“I don’t get it,” Yancy said, relaxing back in his seat “why’s he want to leave this place?”
“He mostly just wants the box the warden took from us”
“Hey, why’s this mirror so dirty?”
“I don’t know ask Mark”
Yancy grabbed some toilet paper and wiped away the grime “You’d think with all the time he spends cleaning up he’d be able to keep youse cell lookin’ nice” he dropped the used paper in the toilet “now there’s a handsome boy! And there’s that handsome and/or beautiful face”
“Shut up” You chuckled, catching a glimpse of what looked like Mark dressed in a white suit standing just at the edge of the mirror
Turning around you looked out into the hall, but saw no one there. Shrugging it off you turned back to Yancy and continued the conversation you two were having, ignoring the ringing in your ears, figuring you’d just developed some minor tinnitus from all of the gunshots and explosions. Until.
“Youse hear that ringing?” Yancy asked
“Yeah,” You said as the lights began flickering “oh shit”
It didn’t take long before some of the lights flickered off completely, leaving at least half of the penitentiary in total darkness. It also seemed like the power that went to the cell’s doors went out because all of the cells opened, releasing everyone.
“Y/N,” Mark yelled almost falling as he slid to a stop in front of your cell
“Youse alright?” Yancy asked as you went over to check on your friend
“Yeah,” Mark said as the sound of the other prisoners reached your ears
“Sounds like the others ’re havin’ fun,” Yancy said going to join the rest of the family
That’s when you realized that the warden wouldn’t be in his office and you had a perfect shot at getting the box.
“Where are you going?” Mark asked, glaring into the darkness as you walked towards it
“Going to get the box,” You said not stopping
“No!” Mark exclaimed, grabbing your wrist with far more force than he needed to
“Ow!” You exclaimed trying to pry his hand off of you “you’re hurting me”
“Oh,” Mark said letting you go “I’m sorry”
“Jesus,” You said rubbing your wrist
“Let’s just go a different way though”
Grabbing hold of your hand Mark lead you away from the dark hallway and took you down a well-lit one. He was the first one into the warden's office and made sure to look around at every corner until he was positive you were alone.
“Come one”
You walked up to the desk and Mark grabbed the box, pressing the gem that was on it; everything went white again.
“I’m really glad you agreed to go on this date with me,” Mark said as he drove the two of you somewhere, the two of you were no longer dressed in prison garb but in your Sunday bests “I can’t wait to see this play with you”
“Yeah,” You said drawing out the word as you gave your surroundings a suspicious once over before letting it go “me too”
The car pulled to a stop in front of the theater and Mark was quick to get out of the car and run around to open the door for you; holding his hand out for you to take so he could help you out.
“Come on,” Mark said as you readjusted your grip on his hand so you were holding it “let’s go inside”
“Welcome to the theater!” The man who opened the theater doors for you said
“So what play do you want to see?” Mark asked motioning toward the posters
“The Dark Mark,” You said immediately being drawn to the horror poster
“A-a-are you sure” Mark stammered looking at the comedy poster “this comedy one looks really good!”
“No, I’m feeling some horror today,” You said hooking your arm in his “come one, it’ll be fun”
“Ok” Mark relented, tightening his grip on you
He took you to your seats and you lifted the armrest so you could snuggle into his side.
“Thanks for bringing me here,” You said, looking up at Mark’s face “I’m having a great time”
“Anytime,” Mark said, looking down at you with half-lidded eyes
You looked at each other, your faces slowly getting closer and closer until your lips were inches apart. Then something crashed on the stage with a loud bang. Pulling away you looked at the stage to see what had fallen but there was nothing, not even Mark when you turned back to look at him.
“Did you miss me? I missed you, very much”
On the stage stood Dark who was looking down at you with such a fondness that it made your heart flutter.
“Where’s Mark,” You asked taking a step back when Dark stepped down from the stage
“Don’t worry” Dark said, brushing a strand of hair away from your face “he won’t be bothering you anymore”
“What?” You asked taking another step away from him
“Darling?” Dark asked reaching out to caress your cheek
“Don’t touch me!” You exclaimed, slapping his hand away
Dark looked at you hurt “What has he done to you?”
“Mark hasn’t done anything to me”
“You don’t remember then,” Dark growled low in his throat, as he realized what was happening “that bastard!” He took both of your hands in his and rested his forehead against yours before speaking softly “please, please remember me, little monster”
You weren’t sure what it was but something about this moment felt right; it felt warm and inviting like this was where you belonged and no matter what happened you’d be safe.
“I” You murmured leaning into Dark
“That’s it” Dark whispered, moving his hands from yours to your upper arms, gently rubbing them “remember”
Taking a step away from you Dark gave you some space to process what was happening when he was tackled by Mark, taking the both of you out of the void. You watched as the two Marks fought unsure of what to do as you weren’t sure which one you could trust and it didn’t get any better once the gun became involved. Letting out a tiny shriek you took a step away from the gun, afraid that the force of it hitting the ground would set it off.
The sound of the gun and your screaming pulled the two Marks apart from each other, both of them looking at you to make sure you were alright before they both made a move for the gun. Since the two of them moved at the same time they crashed into each other, almost knocking the other to the ground; the Mark on the left made a right hook for the other who dodged it. Just wanting it to be over you grabbed the gun, contemplating chucking the thing as far as you could when the sharpest pain you’d ever felt struck your brain and you collapsed to the ground, grabbing the sides of your head and curling into yourself.
“Y/N!” Both Marks exclaimed looking at you
All of your memories from every game Mark had made you play suddenly flooded your mind, every death, Mark getting jealous of Illinois when he’d flirt with you, jealous of Yancy when it seemed like you two were becoming friends, he was even jealous of Wug and all he did was try and be helpful, all of your colonists dying, your crew betraying you, the zombies, watching Mark die, the party, everything. Then you saw a memory that wasn’t yours.
You were back in the manor, Damien had just tucked you into bed after you’d passed out drunk during the poker game, closing the door to your room.
“Hello, Damien,” Mark said lurking in the hall
“Mark” Damien said, “I thought you’d already gone to bed”
“No” Mark scowled
“What’s wrong?”
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”
“I was just helping, Y/N, to bed,” Damien said confused, motioning toward the door
“No” Mark snarled “you’re trying to steal them from me”
“What are you talking about, Mark?” Damien asked unsure of what the hell was happening
“They will be mine, Damien” Mark growled walking off to his room
Standing there Damien watched as his friend walked off and the Colonel came toward him.
“What’s wrong with Mark?” the Colonel asked peaking into your room to check in on you
“I think he’s infatuated with, Y/N”
The Colonel made a face “You might want to spend the night with them then. Who know’s what he might do, you know just as well as I what kind of a green-eyed monster he became when Celine left him”
“I know, but they’re drunk. I-I can’t risk having them thinking I took advantage of them!”
“Right” Colonel sighed, placing a hand on his friend's shoulder “then it may be best if we stick by their side until we leave”
“Agreed”
Once Damien and the Colonel were no longer near your door Mark snuck into your room, watching you for a few moments as you slept, before snipping off a lock of your hair and leaving.
That’s when you realized what you’d been feeling wasn’t real, he’d just been manipulating your memories so all you’d remember were the good times and your relationship with him to get you to succumb to some kind of Stockholm syndrome.
“Damien” You whispered shakily
“I’m here, love” Dark said coming over to your side
“No” Mark snarled, watching as you embraced Dark “no! I was so close” his voice cracked a bit “they were almost mine”
“Jesus” You murmured, looking at Mark as he glared at you before grabbing hold of Dark’s arm
“Y/N will never be yours” Dark growled, disgusted at how he’d been treating you like a puppet whose affections could so easily be controlled
“Dark,” You said softly, pulling his arm as close to you as you could “we should leave”
“Agreed” Dark said, moving his arm so that it was wrapped around your side
While you and Dark were talking to each other Mark had managed to grab hold of the gun, rotating the barrel before cocking the hammer.
“If I can’t have them,” Mark said, aiming the gun at you
Dark immediately moved you behind him so you’d be protected and Mark hesitated, not sure if a bullet would do anything against the entity. It didn’t take long for him to get over the hesitation, aiming the gun again when a shot rang out and Mark collapsed to the ground, clutching at his chest as it began bleeding as the gun fell from his grasp.
“Got him,” Wilford said standing a few feet away from them, lowering the smoking gun in his hands
“Oh thank God,” You said, letting out the breath you’d been holding, grateful that this ordeal was over
“It took you long enough,” Dark said annoyed, placing his suit jacket on your shoulders
“I had to keep up the act otherwise he’d get suspicious!” Wilford said, putting his gun away, justifying his actions towards you whenever you came across him during the games, both trying to hint at it all being a game while still playing along
You wanted to be mad at Wilford when you’d remembered that he’d shot you, but you couldn’t bring yourself to be; since it was kinda your fault too, trying to wrestle a loaded gun away from him like a dumb ass. So you gave him a kiss on the cheek as a way to thank him for helping you.
Then you turned to Dark and punched him in the arm “You trapped me in a mirror!”
“I did” Dark sighed, placing a kiss on your forehead “and I’m sorry. I thought it would keep you safe; I never could have guessed he would have done what he did”
“Is it over?” You asked, leaning into Dark’s chest
“I hope so,” Dark said, wrapping his arms tightly around you
Looking up at Dark you placed both of your hands on his cheeks, tilting his head down so that he was looking at you before bringing your lips together in a gentle kiss, that Dark was quick to deepen.
“Let’s go get some drinks,” Wilford said draping an arm around Dark’s shoulder “my treat”
“Yeah” You agreed, just wanting to forget what had happened in the last few hours “that sounds great”
“Alright” Dark relented, just happy that he’d be able to spend time with you again
“I think I’m going to visit Yancy,” You said thinking back to every person you’d met during Mark’s games “he was so nice to me every time I was in there and I feel bad just leaving him”
“Of course, darling” Dark said, pulling all of you into a dark void
“You think he’ll remember me?” You said when you found yourselves in the Ego’s manor
“I’m positive”
“I can’t imagine anyone forgetting you!” Wilford said
