drew this sitting on a hill
In this artwork I'm focused on the materialistic aspect of the artistic media and the idea of turning something chaostic to recognizable and more simple, as for example a complex collgae to a landscape painting.

This week i started the plaster workshop. My original idea was to use one of my dragon figurines (inspiration from the Percy Jackson book series), but Sarah said the wings are too thin for the plaster, therefore it would be too delicate and it would break. Fortunately, Sarah suggested that I use a big piece of clay to make indentations of the dragon figurines. I also brought my plastic sword that I used to pose with in photography (the clay picked up on a lot of the sword's detail). Pressing the sword down with the palm of my hand wasn't enough to make a clear mark on the clay, so Sarah gave me a rolling pin to help the clay pick up all the details in the crevices. I enjoyed experimenting the different ways to make marks using my dragon figurines and my sword.
Entwined.
