I’ve been refreshing my memory of the pattern making process with Bonnie Christine’s 5 Day Challenge this week. Here are some rather unremarkable watercolor marks I made & the pattern I created from them. Big difference, isn’t it? I’ll probably play with these a lot more before it feels done to me but I wanted to show you that you can make some really nice patterns from some really bland & random mark making. Not all of my patterns start off like this. Sometimes I’m very precise & want it very clean & orderly, but I’m trying to explore & test out new methods & ideas here. I kind of like it & will definitely practice this method a lot more in the future.
