LOGAN- “Daddy, I am not arguing with you about this. This is what I am doing. I have already talked to Aunt Roxie. I am doing this. I want to do this. I HAVE TO DO THIS!!

SETH- “Foxbury---

MARK- “Seth, no, don’t try and force her into this. She needs to do this, for reasons we don’t understand, but we should support her.”

SETH- “What are you going to do for money, Logan?”

LOGAN- “I have my trust daddy, I can withdraw a little from that and then once I get to Del Sol Valley, I am sure I can find a job.”

SETH- “Doing what, Logan you have never had a job, and you won’t have a college education. Only having a High School diploma will get you so far. Darling you have always wanted to go to college”

LOGAN- “No you and Dad have always wanted me to go to college.I am doing this Dad. If I fail I fail on my own and I will go back to school. But right now I want this.”

SETH- “But, Del Sol Valley?”

MARK- “SETH!, Honey. this is not our choice. She is of age and Roxie will make sure she is taken care of until she can find work.”

JONAS- “Dad? Do Dax and I have to sit here and listen to this? You know this is going to go on for hours, because she is going to argue with Dad until he gives up. And he is not going to give up or listen to you.”

MARK- “Sure. You guys have a big day tomorrow, you should get some rest.”

JONAS- “Yes, Foxbury waits for no one, right? Especially Logan it seems. We have to find an apartment before they are all taken.”

SETH- “Penny, we are so sorry, this must be just terrible for you and the kids, but rest assured anything we can do, we will.”

PENNY- “Seth, just allowing us to stay here until we can find a place is more than we even imagined. The kids seem to be doing okay, at least all outward appearances are showing that. Just not sure if they are dealing with it emotionally though. Mark gave us a referral to an amazing therapist so I am sure that will help.”

PENNY- “So do you guys know of anything in the area that is for sale?”

SETH- “Daniel and Ian bought a place over in Founder’s Cove. It is just a few blocks away actually. It was a rehab and they were able to secure a renovation loan I heard there were a couple of other places in the same neighborhood that are available.”

PENNY- “There is no way I could do a rehab, I would need to get one all ready finished.”

MARK- “From what I gather, these places over there come with builders that will do the work for your specifications. They even supply blueprints of what you want. The developer is working with residents to secure financing. You might want to look into it. They are selling these houses at a pretty reasonable rate.”

PENNY- “But how long does the rehab take? I couldn’t expect you guys to keep us up here while they renovate an entire house.”

SETH- “Penny, you take as long as you need. If this would be something that you want and you can save money doing it, our home is yours for the duration. We want what is best for you and your family.”

MARK- “Seth is right. Call them and see what is available and if you decide that is what you want to do, we are here for you guys.”

PENNY- “You both are amazing friends. I will call them tomorrow, first thing.”

While Ian and Daniel were taking a tour of the house over in Founder’s Cove, Seth and Mark were discussing the situation of another old friend, Penny Zuckerburg.

SETH- “He was not much older than we were? That is terrible. So what is Penny and the kids going to do?”

MARK- “Kelvin had a large insurance policy and with it being an accidental death, it was double indemnity, so she is selling the place in San Myshuno and going to move here to Willow Creek. She said she and kids just want to get a new start.”

SETH- “I can certainly understand that. So how old are the kids now?”

MARK- “Well, Dax is  just a little older than Logan and Jonas. Dakota is eleven this year. So I told Penny we had plenty of room for them to stay here with us until they can find a place. Dakota can room with Logan and Dax can room with Jonas. Penny can take the guest room.”

SETH- “I think that would work out fine. Whatever we can do to help them through this transition.”

MARK- “Hopefully the twins are on board with this.”

SETH- “They are going to have to be. It is only until they can find a place of their own, so they can deal with it. The only one that is going to have an issue will be---

MARK- “Logan.”

SETH- “You took her name right out of my mouth.”

ROXIE- “Mark, I am proud of you the birthday cakes look incredible. You really have come a long way with your culinary skills.”

MARK- “Thanks, Sis, I have been watching that cooking show on the TV, they have some great ideas.”

PETER- “Ah, yes I have watched it a few times too.”

LOGAN- “Can we please blow out our candles? I have some aging up to do here.”

SETH- “Fair enough... Perry put down the phone, they are going to blow out their candles now.”

PERRY- “Just want to get some shots for my Simstagram.”

LOGAN- “okay here goes nothing... 

ROXIE- “Don’t forget to make a wish, Logan!”

LOGAN- “Already ahead of you Aunt Roxie.”

MARK- “You too Jonas, do this at the same time, I mean you guys are twins.”

JONAS- “My wish is that Logan and I will be judged on our own merits and not based on the fact that we are twins...”

MARK- “Just blow out the candles, son.”

MARK- Actually she is eleven now, and she will be rooming with you and you will be nice to her.  Do you understand?”

LOGAN- “I understand, and I am nice to everyone, Dad, Really you act like I am a monster. I mean it is temporary, right, maybe a couple weeks?”

SETH- “Depending on how long it takes for them to find a place, it could be longer, Logan.”

LOGAN- “Longer, like what are we talking about here?”

MARK- “Maybe months.”

LOGAN- “FINE!  I will be fine with it. Do I really have a choice?”

MARK- “No, you don’t.”

LOGAN- “We need to get to school. Thanks for the heads up. So when are they coming?”

SETH- “They will be here sometime today, before you get home from school.”

LOGAN- “Please do not let her go into my room until I get home. Can I have at least that?”

MARK- “Yes, we will wait until you get home from school. You two have a great day, now.”

JONAS- “Thanks , and tell Dax to make himself at home when he gets here.”

LOGAN- “Could you be anymore sickening nice?”

SETH- “You may want to take a lesson from him, Logan.”

LOGAN- “Sure, ... right. I will do that Dad. “

MARK- “So, Peter, Seth and I have discussed this, and I shared everything with Seth regarding your brother and what happened, and we both agree that you need to stay on here with us and continue as the twins nanny.”

PETER- “Are you sure. I mean I would understand if---

SETH- “Mark is right, Peter, we want you to stay. I think that over time your brother will realize that what happened had nothing to do with you. And the kids really like you and have grown attached to you. You are amazing with them.”

PETER- “But what if Joseph continues to try and communicate with them?”

MARK- “Once he sees that you have control of the situation and are not going to let anything happen to them, I think he will rest and leave you alone.”

PETER- “So you think he is trying to help me take care of them because he thinks I could allow the same thing to happen to them as did him??”

MARK- “I think you may think that. But you have to realize that you are fully capable of helping us raise Logan and Jonas and that you would NEVER let anything happen to them. Once you realize that, then Joseph will too.”

PETER- “I think you are right. I think he is just worried about them.”

MARK- “I am sure he is, and so we need to make sure he knows that they are safe with you. And YOU need to know that Seth and I trust you and that you will not allow anything to happen to them either.”

Over a period of several months up through the next year, Peter began seeing less and less of his “brother” He also sopped appearing to the children. Regardless if it truly was the ghost of Joseph Lowenthal or not, Peter began to gain confidence in his abilities and in time realized that his brother’s accident was not his fault and Josephs “ghost” finally was able to rest in peace.

I am going to take a short hiatus from the Schrieber Legacy and will return in a week or so, at which time there will be a time jump. Until then please enjoy my new Story HEIR APPARENT.

PETER- “If it is okay, I think before their nap, I was going to take the kids over to the park”

MARK- “Of course, not a problem at all, and you really do not need to ask permission, Peter.”

PETER- “Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean it to sound that way. I guess I just wanted you to know where we would be. I think I will go change real quick while Logan eats.”

Once Peter leaves to go upstairs to change, Seth gives Logan her lunch, takes Jonas out of his chair and then tells Mark what he found in Logan’s room....

SETH- “There was a dirty diaper just laying on the floor and she had on a fresh diaper. It is just not like him to leave a dirty diaper anywhere, not to mention right there on the floor.”

MARK- “You know how she hates diapers, maybe she took it off?”

SETH- “And put on her own diaper? She is very smart, but that would be impossible.”

LOGAN- “JoJo changed me.”

MARK- “Silly girl, Jonas didn’t change you. (Back towards Seth) Peter seemed a little distracted when he came down for lunch.”

SETH- “Maybe he needs a couple days or a week off.  I mean the boy has been non-stop for nine months, and has taken very little time for himself. Between his studies and the kids, he may just need a break, you know?”

MARK- “You’re right, I will talk to him later after he gets back from the park with the kids.”

SETH- “Sounds good.  Okay I am off to the animals. See you at dinner.”

Instead of changing, Peter went back into Jonas’s room...

PETER- “Hello?... I know you were here. Hello? You don’t scare me, but Jonas is a different story. Okay, fine. But I know you are here. I will be looking for you from now on, just so you know....”

JOSEPH- “Would you tell this asshole that i don’t want to hurt his kids. I am not here to hurt anyone!”

PETER- “Okay, I know that, but why don’t you just tell him yourself.”

MARK- “Peter??   Peter, is Joseph here now?”

PETER- “Sorry, yes, he is sitting right here next to me, he said he isn’t going to hurt the kids, he isn’t here to hurt anyone. I told him to tell you that himself, but he says you don’t believe he exists, so therefore you can’t see him or hear him.”

MARK- “I want to believe, Peter----

PETER- “Tell him, address him.”

MARK- “Okay, Joseph, I want to believe you are here, and I also want to believe that you do not want to hurt the kids and if that is the case, then why are you here?”

JOSEPH- “He doesn’t believe, and he doesn’t want to, or he could see me. I am here not for his kids, but for you, Peter. I am here to let you know we can still be best friends and brothers. I miss you, and I know you miss me. I am here to help you through this.”

PETER- “He says that if your really believed and wanted to believe you would be able to see him. He is not here for any other reason than for me. He knows I miss him and that he wants to help me through this.”

MARK- “Got it... Joseph, I want you to know that I understand that you just care about Peter. But this is not helping him. This is hindering him from moving on with his life. He does miss you, terribly and he feels guilty because you died and he couldn’t help save you. But you know as well as I do that he was not responsible for any of that. You need to tell him goodbye and let him move forward.”

JOSEPH- “Is that true, Peter? Do you think that you were responsible for me dying?”

PETER- “Yes, sometimes... I do.”

With that, Joseph left the room and Mark and Peter continued to discuss Joseph. Mark had hoped that by talking directly to Joseph that Peter trusted him that he believed and that this would help Peter move on. Now to try and convince Seth that Peter should stay on as the kids Nanny...
