Very interesting trivia question here. So @elgarysanchez has 41 homers in his first 140 games. Only two others have done it. We know who Mark McGwire is with his 49 dingers in his rookie season of 1987. But the question I have is this: Who was Rudy York. Rudy York played from 1935, 1937-1948. With the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Athletics, York hit 277 career homers. York, who was part Cherokee, managed the Boston Red Sox during the 1959 season when African American ballpalyer Pumpsie Green integrated the Red Sox. The Red Sox were the last team to promote a black ballplayer to the Majors post Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in 1947. #RudyYork #GarySanchez #MarkMcGwire #40HomersInFirst140Games #Homers #HomeRun #BaseballTrivia #Baseball #Beisbol #BaseballSisco
