Instrument Tumblr, I may need your help.

I tried digging around, I tried going to the museum in question, and internet, I may need your help. My next idea is looking for something like Antiques Roadshow (they don't give information, but other places might.)

Several years ago I purchased a Majestic Aristocrat, FA Eugen Schuster Markneukirchen (Sachsen) tenor saxophone. It was/is in beautiful condition, except quite dirty and someone has knocked off the E rod and key, both are missing and need replaced/repaired. I cleaned it the best I knew how with concern for its age, unsure if anyone else would be interested in it. I could only find one other in the market, since then I've only seen a few mentioned. The serial No. on mine is 1441.

I know some of the history of Markneukirchen, more about their history with strings than with woodwinds. I did see a silver trumpet out there with a similar serial that was made in the 20's to mid 30's. I know general music history, but this thing has me going in circles.

The museum I contacted was very nice, but said they didn't have much information in their archives. They're willing to let me buy their book, which, after customs and what not I'm sure would go from $90 to over $100. I don't have the funds for that, it's not available on Amazon, Ebay, or Abebooks.

Does anyone know more?
