Maybe unpopular opinion but I feel like the Ark memory system in Shining Nikki is a way worse game mechanic than the dream weaver institute in Love Nikki. In LN, you get to play through the memories while being tasked with collecting certain clothes and getting rewarded with unique items. But in SN, you can read through the memories of the designers you’ve met if you want, but it doesn’t feel like you’re rewarded for going out of your way to read the lore. This is disappointing considering SN seems to have less interesting lore than LN so far unless I’m very wrong.
> be us late at night
> get hit with a random wave of sadness and loneliness
> what the fuck is going on everything’s fine why are we sad
> realise Tom’s near front
> realise it’s just him missing a guy he’s NEVER MET
> continue to be lonely and miss said guy
> :/
