he is always thinking about kurt in relation to sebastian in one way or another, whether he's thinking about how they kiss different (how kurt seemed to really savor every moment their lips were together while sebastian kisses him like he's trying to hurt him, trying to eat him alive), or how their hands feel when they go down the hallways hand in hand (how kurt's hands are soft from moisturizer while sebastian's are calloused and undeniably masculine in a way thats clunky to hold and unfamiliar in blaine's hand), or how people stare at them (how people looked at he and kurt like they were the first to ever love another, while people look at he and sebastian as if they destroyed the very concept of love). he's comparing them constantly. he can't let kurt go. it doesn't matter if things are positive or negative with sebastian because kurt is always in his mind (and sometimes in the corner of his eye, watching him; sometimes in his dalton uniform with a brokenhearted face and sometimes in his experimental senior year clothes with a look of pure hatred and sometimes in his fashionable new york clothes with a blank but clearly upset look). blaine could never enjoy his time with sebastian. the second they're doing anything romantic or sexual blaine thinks about kurt– thinks about how different this is, or how upset kurt would be if he could see this (and how awful he feels for thinking about that; and how awfully delicious it feels to indulge in that thought). sebastian of course only encourages this, he can't let kurt go because he knows blaine can't. both know sebastian is in competition with kurt but to one of them sebastian is winning and to the other he's not even close
