These are some different replies than I’m used to getting, but I knew they would be. I would apologise for that horrible ending but since I know just how fluffy this fic is overall, I ain’t gonna ;) Thanks again for all your feedback and loveliness! Chapter Seven should be out in a few hours and I’m also working on a little Bucky oneshot on the side, just because.

@mehfuture You literally made me squeal when I read this comment. I mean, a genuine, loud squeal that made my dad look at me like I was going mad. Whilst I’m kinda sorry about all the feelings, I’m not really because I just can’t believe my writing would make you feel all that much! I’m also so glad you thought this was the best chapter, I put a lot of thought into it so I’m so glad it paid off! You’re the best, thank you <3

@ign-is I only use the word cliffhanger in the most extreme of circumstances. It’s got a way to go yet, though, so don’t lose hope! Also, I think this is one of my favourite comments I’ve ever gotten because I am so so glad to hear you thought I portrayed the team well, I was super nervous about that! I was definitely trying to avoid caricaturing them too much (although I so did with Thor and Loki I think aha) and subtle was exactly what I was going for so thank you thank you thank you :D

@thirstresponsibly It took me a while to decide how I wanted Steve to react so I’m glad I made the right choice! I think it just made sense that he wouldn’t believe it in my head too. I’m so glad I have you gripped, I’ll try to keep it that way, although there isn’t all too much drama for a while now <3

Quick Update/Teaser

Guys, the Venom/Eddie Brock x Reader fic won’t be up until probably tomorrow, as it is wayyyyy longer than I expected it to be, but I have prepared a teaser for you all.

(8:15pm)  Hey, (Y/N), this is Jase. I know you said not to bother you, but I want you to know that I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me.

(8:20pm) I got your number from a friend.              

(9:00pm) Why aren’t you answering?

(9:03pm) (Y/N), are you there?

(9:05pm) (Y/N), I know you’ve received my texts.

(9:10pm) Who was that?

(9:11pm) Are you seeing somebody?

(9:13pm) Who was that man? Who are you seeing?!

(9:14pm) (Y/N), answer me!!

 You read over the texts a few times, taking shuddering breaths. The last text was sent almost 10 minutes ago. This is not good. He knows where I live. He knows about Eddie. Carrying your phone back down the stairs, you hold onto it for dear life. It’s the only thing keeping you from panicking, it’s your safety blanket. Turning on your flat screen TV, you make your way around the kitchen bench towards the cupboard. Opening it, you reach towards the back, locating your secret stash of Cadbury’s chocolate before pulling out a small bar. You needed to keep it hidden as Venom, your other boyfriend practically engulfs anything he sees that contains chocolate. Of course, you always stock up just for him, giving him his own stash, though much larger than your own. You begin to unwrap the bar, leaning on the benchtop with your elbows, just appreciating the way that chocolate calms you down. I’m not sleeping tonight, you think, not with those texts. I’ll call in sick tomorrow and stay at Eddie's for a few days. Taking a deep breath in, you finish the candy bar, placing the packaging in the rubbish, before moving to sit on your lounge, the phone being strangled in your grip.

It was another 2 hours before anything happened. You’d been flicking through various channels to occupy your mind when you heard a knock on your door. Opting not to lower the volume of the TV to raise suspicion you tip-toed your way closer to the door. Knock Knock. Peering through the peephole, you recognized the pulled back hair and freshly shaven face. You moved away from the door, careful not to make a noise. “(Y/N), it’s Jase. I just wanted to make sure you were alright, you haven’t answered any of my texts.” What the hell? It’s 11:30. At night. Your gut was telling you that something was off, so, opting against opening the door or even answering him, you carefully walked up the stairs, phone in hand, making your way as quietly as possible to your walk-in closet. The knocking was getting louder. “(Y/N),” a lengthy pause, “who was that man you were with?!”

Again, I’m really sorry about the wait, but my exams start in 4 days and I’m really starting to feel the stress and anxiety of it all.
