The Things She Said (Running Through My Head) - Kim Greylek/Jo Marlowe
Warnings: Idk? Swearing maybe Summary; Another completely cracky ship from me but if nobody else ships it I probably do (at least the not icky stuff?) Written as part of @sweetprentiss ‘s Spring Has Sprung Celebration Bingo.
“She’s unfuckable…” The comment comes from Sonya Paxton, the woman looking over at Kim Greylek, Jo Marlowe smirking a little at Sonya’s words. “Only if you suck at flirting.” Jo speaks softly, noting Alex and Casey moving away from Kim before downing her drink. “Watch and learn.” It's easy to cross the space, slipping into the space left empty by Alex and Casey, smiling as she introduced herself to Kim, leaning to whisper what was going on to Kim and laughing when Kim blushes, her voice soft. “You know, all she needs to prove I won is a kiss…” “You sure about that?” Jo smirks then, she has her now. Kim’s voice is softer as she leans into Jo’s space, her voice lower and huskier now, surprising Jo with how openly flirtatious she is. “Might want me to leave with you too.” Jo smirks at that, moving to tuck hair behind Kim’s ear, the loose curl surprisingly soft. “Is that a yes then?” Kim shrugs slightly. “Try me.” Jo smirks again, leaning to kiss Kim, letting out a surprised sound of pleasure when Kim’s hand shifts into her hair, tugging just a little. It’s easy to get lost in Kim’s kiss and Jo pulls away somewhat reluctantly, smiling when Sonya passes, shaking her head. “Only you Marlowe…” “Oh cry me a river, you had your chance…” Kim smirks, leaning into Jo’s side, her voice low and yet still a little husky. “Hardly her fault she’s my type…” Jo’s grip on her leg tightens and Kim smirks, resting a hand on Jo’s, squeezing reassuringly. “Try Donnelly, she has a thing for ADAs… easy pickings.” Sonya opens her mouth as if to reply before shrugging and walking away, Jo’s laugh stunned but proud. “Wow, who knew the quiet one had such claws…” “Anyone who crossed me.” Kim’s smirk is sharper now and Jo laughs again, kissing her cheek. “Well then miss whiplash, lead the way… I’m all yours.” The two walk together, out of the police gala, Kim more than happy to slip an arm around Jo, Jo’s grip is slightly tighter and the two head out into the carpark, Jo flagging them down a taxi before they leave. It's only when they get to her home that Jo senses Kim is tense, her voice soft even as she climbs out and holds a hand out to Kim. “At least come in for a coffee?” Kim accepts somewhat shyly, seeming to melt into her side as they make their way inside, Jo’s grip a little more possessive now, protective. They get inside and Jo locks the door behind them, turning to look Kim over before moving closer, smoothing hair from Kim’s face, gentle fingers tucking it behind her ear before kissing her again softly. “Relax… I don’t bite.” Kim smiles shyly, leaning into Jo’s hand before she speaks. “I don’t usually…” “That makes two of us… but you are… incredible. I had to at least try.” Jo’s voice is softer now, careful. “I can offer you coffee… and a spare room?” Kim smiles then and her voice is huskier. “I’ll take the coffee, see where this goes.”
