What if Iron can't do a Curator's sonar attacks because it can't speak, so it had a lot of trouble hunting in the High Wilderness and that's why it bothered to get so good with swords
And it met Candles one day and Candles being a white Curator was also not any good at hunting, being very much visible
So Candles made Iron an offer: I will be your distraction, your decoy, leaving you free to attack, and in return we will share what we find
And Iron said yes and they became friends and Iron followed Candles to the Neath
Candles' murder not only means that Iron has to live with the death and transformation of its only friend, it has to live trapped in the Neath for the rest of time since it can't really hunt alone, and THATS why Iron hates the Bazaar and the other Masters: the death of a friend, and the loss of its freedom
