Sins and Shutdowns
James had finally been discharged from the hospital. To calm James down and get him to let her into his room without him, she had promised not to look at the necklace he bought until he showed her himself. When they finally got back to campus, Meg handed James over to Lovino while she cleaned up the remains of the whole escapade.
Entering James's room, cleanning supplies in hand, she immediately moved the small box containing the gift that had caused so much trouble to an innocuous place- one where it wouldn't be forgotten, but would still be out of the way enough to clean. Then, she started with the laundry. She stripped the bed and added the fabric to the dirty laundry pile, wrapping everything up in a nice bundle.
Luckily, the room was sparsely furnished. This meant that it would take a considerably smaller amount of time to disinfect and clean completely. Meg swept and mopped the floor, then sprayed all of the smooth surfaces (like the dresser, bed-frame, and floor) with the disinfectant she had made earlier and let it soak for a few minutes while she got some clean clothes for James to change into later.
With the surfaces all wiped down and the room now smelling of cinnamon and cloves, Meg opened a window and picked up the pile of dirty laundry and the change of clothes for James. With her hands full, she left James's now clean-smelling room and headed to Lovino's. She set the dirty bundle down next to her and knocked on the door.
