Isabel Marquez: 1900s Lookbook

Isabel is almost a teenager, so before she ages up I felt I wanted to post her lookbook too! Isabel is the youngest of the 3 Marquez siblings. She is outgoing and makes friends easily, but also enjoys creative pursuits and helping in the family’s garden. She is closer with her older siblings than her parents, as both of them adore her. Isa loves to dress in the feminine fashions of Edwardian girls. (Again, Isabel’s swimwear look is the same as her athletic look.)

Adela Marquez: 1900s Lookbook

An early 1900s lookbook (circa 1903) for Adela Clara Marquez, the oldest child of Arturo and Valeria. Adela has recently started school at Oasis Springs’ one-room schoolhouse. She is creative and spends time drawing, playing chess, and taking care of her little brother, Manuel. (Her swimwear look is the same as her athletic look so I didn’t include it.)

Valeria Hernandez Marquez: 1900s Lookbook

First lookbook of the 20th century is Valeria Rita Hernandez Marquez, the wife of Arturo Marquez. Valeria is the daughter of Esteban Hernandez, one of Arturo’s father’s closest friends, who was involved in local politics in Oasis Springs. Though she can be reserved, Valeria has a thirst for knowledge and enjoys reading, playing chess, and playing the piano. Her desire for the finer things in life is reflected in her dress. Her traits are Loner, Genius, and Cheerful.

Manuel’s Journal:

I attended the dance with my friends and there I saw Elsa again. She is warm and always considerate of my feelings and asks about how my family is faring. Of course I had to dance with her! Elsa loves the slow, romantic waltzes and ensures every step is in perfect time with mine.

But I also knew I had to ask Margarita as well— she lights up any room as soon as she enters. She told me that she wishes they would play ragtime music, but any time there was a quick and lively tune, she proceeded with confidence as we spun around the floor. In between songs we chatted by the dining table.

I do hope that neither girl is jealous of me dancing with them both. How could I say no to this opportunity to dance with these lovely young ladies?

Manuel Marquez: 1900s Lookbook

A lookbook for Manuel Marquez, the teenage son and heir-by-default of Arturo and Valeria. Manuel was always sociable from the time he was a child and is close to his two sisters, Adela and Isabel, as well as his cousin Ernesto. He is growing aware of the world around him and of other’s feelings. He is not yet sure what he wants to do when he grows up but is confident that he will excel in whatever he does. Manuel is Self-Assured and Good.

A mid-1900s lookbook for Manuel as a young boy. Manuel is the only son of Arturo and Valeria Marquez. He sometimes feels forgotten as the middle child and he and his older sister Adela have learned to take care of themselves. Manuel is more outgoing than his older sister. His favorite school subject is English. He is Self-Assured. (His swimwear look is the same as his athletic look so I didn’t include it.)
