one month: dates like twice a week! you take turns planning them ehehehehe just two silly girls who recently discovered their attraction is mutual. the first month isn’t anything special, it’s just you guys exploring the relationship slowly

one year: the initial high of being in a relationship passed so your dates are more like twice a month, but those are the ‘formal’ dates—to the movies or fancy restaurant outing. you go to her dorm almost every day, and she loves to sleep over at your apartament too! you spend so much time together the other girls start wondering if you can be physically separated

one month: first month dating hanni is a little chaotic. she’s very much smitten, don’t get me wrong, but also hanni keeps you at arms length kinda? she tells you little bits of her day when you guys text, so very often. most of you dates are going to the cinema to watch a marvel movie/watching a marvel movie at your place

one year: so you don’t get any free time now. hanni is a big oversharer (check my alphabet for that lol) so you get updates from her every 30 second you’re away. as your relationship progresses, her fame does too and it gets harder to sneak out together. when you’re both very smitten and very in love, you keep a couple sets of changes of clothes at the nj dorm (bc hanni’s stuff is too small lol she’s short) so you stay there for a couple days sometimes

one month: sunshine, she’s like a lovesick puppy the moment you guys arrange the first date. your relationship is still ver fresh, but she takes it as slow as you both need, while still being all lovely dovely. you definitely get “good morning/good night, baby 🩷🩷” messages every day.

one year: you’re glued at the hip 🎄 danielle refuses to go anywhere without you (unless it’s like REALLY mandatory). half of your clothes are in her closet because 1) “i wanna wear your clothes bc they make me think of you 🥺”; 2) you’re more often at her dorm than at your own apartment, just move in already

kang haerin | 🐹 

one month: she’s a little intimidating at first honestly because while you two are now technically dating, she still does that thing where she just stares at you without blinking (she’s admiring you lol). dates to the lego store, you take turns buying the sets, i don’t make the rules

one year: she still stares at you without blinking like at all but now you know it’s because she loves you a lot! and also there’s this big grin on her face when she finally looks away. nj members love you for making their kitty so happy, you get a best friend pass with them

one month: and if i say her members are so overprotective you’re not allowed to take her out on a date outside of her dorm unless one of them follows you 💀 if you want a little privacy you just have to watch the movies at home lol. but if you don’t mind it that much, she’s also fine with it! i’ll say hyein appreciates you putting up with her members like that <3

one year: you’ve earned the ‘dates outside of the dorm’ privilege by being a good gf for a year lol. if you ever wanna have a sleepover it HAS to be in the dorm, the girlies won’t let you take hyein to sleep at yours lmao you can try to sneak, but good luck dealing with an angry minji if you do!

hanni groans in discomfort and annoyance, seeking her given break and slumping further into her beanbag as danielle's daily rambling about you continue to grow larger and longer, maturing disgustingly sweet with each and every word. "god i just love her so much and-"

"enough, please! i can't take it anymore! my single ears can't take this much torture! i know you love her so, so much but please, tone it down a little."

danielle only smiles at the older girl in response, far too enthused with the topic of her girlfriend. "i don't think i can even if i wanted to! she's just so, so, pretty. she's perfect! she's an angel sent from heaven just for me-"

a loud shriek threatened to escape hanni, the amount of sweetness danielle exuded was too much for her to handle at once, a choked groan leaving her lips the exact same moment haerin steps outside her room.

the cat-eyed girl stands awkwardly a few feet away from them, eyes flitting across hanni and danielle, an eyebrow raising at the scene. minji joins the three, but merely walks past haerin to fetch water.

hanni's eyes widen at the sight of haerin and minji, a wide smile beginning to tug at her lips. "oh my god-" she runs up to haerin and grabs her wrists, looking at her with wide, horrified eyes. "haerin, please, please, please take dani away. i beg of you."

the latter's eyes squint at the older idol, lost. "why?"

hanni turns her head around to glance at danielle — who sat quitely on the couch with a large smile comically, before looking back at haerin. "she's done nothing but yap about y/n for the past 40 minutes."

minji watched in amusement, sipping her water as she leaned the kitchen counter. "amateur. i had to sit through 2 hours of y/n's babbling nonsense about danielle when we went shopping because dani sent her a photo in her hoodie."

hanni's eyebrows twitch in annoyance, leering at the girl. "that's not-"

the dorm room opens and danielle's head snapped to the doorway the moment her girlfriend's grumbled response to hyein's dumb question registered in her head, jumping off the couch and practically throwing herself at her lover.

you stumble back a few steps, wrapping and arm around danielle's waist to keep her grounded and stable, dropping the shopping bags on the ground with a soft thud. hyein sighs.

"i missed you." danielle mumbled against the crook of your neck, head burrowed deep as her hands stroke through your hair.

"angel, i was only gone for almost an hour." you chuckle, pressing a kiss to danielle's head, unable to reach her face due to the hug.

"an hour's too long." you start to walk towards the living room, abandoning your shopping bags and sitting down on the couch, the fellow idol straddling you and refusing to let go.

you noticed that the other members retreated back into their rooms to give the two of you privacy (they just didn't want to witness your lovey dovey session), and you couldn't help your smile to grow wider.

"wait-" you reach down your pocket, struggling to fish the small box outlined by your pants. danielle gets the memo and moves to your right side, plopping on the couch and you sigh in appreciation.

you finally manage to take the small box out, and danielle notices that it's a jewellery box. her eyes shined.

"what is it?" she questioned, receiving her answer by you placing the box gently on her palm.

"open it."

"oh my god." she lit up like a thousand suns upon laying eyes on the golden ring, running her fingertips against the sun embedded on the middle. she takes notice of the second empty slot beside where her ring lay, and she looks up at you.

you smile, understanding what she meant. you lifted your right hand and showed her your crescent moon ring on your pinky, the diamonds in your ring twinkling as if winking at her, without a doubt fitting the ring you got for her.

"you got us matching rings... y/n you didn't have to.." she whispers, and she looks so small and fragile at the moment. you nod, watching as she takes the ring off the slot and place it on her pinky.

"of course i did. you've talked about wanting matching rings now that we have matching necklaces. fits us just right, don't you think? the moon cannot live without the sun just as i cannot live without you." you whisper, caressing her cheek.

"you're cringe." she mumbles, internally screaming at your words and breaking at the seams.

"you love it."

danielle's cheeks burn a deep shade of read as her heart thumps hard against her ribcage, the overwhelming hug of your love for her is enough to make her explode. "you're the best. i love you so much."

you smile at her, pecking her cheek as you hold her hand, thumb brushing against her knuckles. "only the best for you, my love."

in hyein's shared room with you, she peeks her head out the door joined with haerin as they snap photos, giggling as they send them to hanni.

a loud muffled groan from hanni and minji's room makes hyein and haerin's giggling grow tenfold, shrieking the moment the door opens and hanni is dashing to enter the room. "let me in you little rats!"

it was incredible to work on your own song, even if it was a ost. so many famous authors helped with this and now it came out on the big screens. but what's more incredible is that now you've been nominated for an award in the rookies category, it's just crazy.

“stop fidgeting, you'll ruin the dress.” - minji, like a true unnie, made sure everything went smoothly and every member looked beautiful.

“I can’t unnie, I’m nervous before the award ceremony, I won’t win this for sure, but all these cameras are pointed right here” - you just fidgeted more and your hand instinctively went to your mouth, but at that moment a slap fell directly on it from the other side, this there was hanni. - “that’s right, the cameras are pointed here, and if you don’t stop, then in all the photo you will be biting your nails and that’s it” - she chuckled contentedly when you pulled your hand out of your mouth and straightened up, imagining the photos she was talking about.

“unnie, I bet you win and then you’ll owe us lunch for a month?” - danielle seems to be very amused by this. - “yes, I agree” - haerin supported her elder, only hyein seemed to be flying in the clouds while the elders started an argument.

“okay” - trying to maintain your posture, you had no choice but agree.

as soon as the presenters entered the stage, your heart began to literally tear apart your chest. Of course you didn’t think that you would win, there are so many talented people represented in this category, you listened to some of their work, it was incredible to be in the same category with them.

the youngest noticed how your hands began to shake and how often you were breathing while trying to maintain a smile. she quickly switched places with minji and took your hand, complaining about doing the same to everyone else. and now you are sitting like a wall, one big wall, you involuntarily began to smile, silently thanking the girls.

then you don’t hear anything anymore, only a hum runs from the side, and then your castle from your hands begins to move too sharply, and you realize that the girls jumped up. you awkwardly look around, and only then the hum ceases to be superficial, and you realize that you have won.

almost all the people nearby begin to clap, and girls run at you, muttering how great you are, you just hug them back and go on stage.

“first of all, thanks to all the people who participated in writing this song, it fully reflects what I would like, thanks to the channel for giving me the opportunity to write this song. thanks to my members..” - you look in their direction, smile and blow them a kiss, making a heart at the camera. - “they supported me all the way, gave me advice, and even sitting here, they were able to build a protective wall for me, a shell in which I would feel comfortable, thank you.”

on the way home everyone was in high spirits. “hey, I’m sooooo hungry, who’s going to pay?” danielle deliberately drags out his words, and everyone starts laughing. It seems you can’t argue with them, next time you’ll believe them right away.

Danielle x Reader: Lightning can('t) strike twice

"Thank you, please take a seat. The fan-meet will commence shortly" The staff member said, handing you back your ticket. You nodded, moving to the middle of the hall, taking a seat as the tune of Super Shy began blasting through the speakers. The fans around you began clapping to the beat, growing excited and rowdy as the music signified the beginning of the event. You tried to remain serious, wanting to stay focused on your purpose here, but you had to admit you enjoyed the music, tapping your feet to the beat of the music as your lips curled upwards, reminiscing on watching the music video, if not for the music then for a certain someone.

Then, the 5 girls who were the reason for this huge event emerged from the backstage, waving as fans waved and cheered, some with signs of the idols plastered on, others with bags in hands of gifts intended for the idols. Amongst the 5 idols, one of them had a vibrant smile, more vibrant than the other 4 as she waved to the cheering fans, though for a moment, her smile cracked. She cursed her wandering eye, wishing she hadn't seen what she had. Thankfully, her media training kicked in. She regained her composure almost as quickly as she had lost it, plastering a smile on her face.  The event kicked off, lines of excited fans moving along the queue, having a short moment to chat with their idols, giving gifts and expressing admiration for them. Each fan interaction warmed their hearts, happy to interact with the people they performed for. 

However, growing unrest was brewing in one of them.  "Dani, are you okay?" The girl beside her whispered, lightly grabbing her hand and giving her a reassuring a smile. "Yeh Minji-unnie, I am." Danielle tried lying, rather unconvincingly, as Minji's eyebrow arched, obviously unconvinced. Back with you, your worry grew as you noticed an accusatory finger pointed toward you, another girl scowling at you, but hiding it as soon as she could, most likely fearing the repercussions of any aggressive acts. Only the firm grasp of one hand stopped the tremble of the other, your eyes darting around the hall, trying your best to not look at them, for fear of your nerves bubbling up and exploding in your chest.

A rapid tap on the shoulder brought you back to attention, a rather impatient teen beside you urging you to close the gap in the queue. You smiled apologetically, before turning to walk up the queue, noting how close you were to finally getting up on the stage. You took a deep breath, trying to calm down. This was most likely your only chance to make things right, and you had to make it up to her.

You made your way past the first three members, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein. Unaware of who you were, or what you had done, the three members talked to you, asking you about you and your bias. They were excited when they heard you were a doctor, then were in faux disappointment when they heard your bias was Danielle. It was nice talking to the three of them, it helped calm your nerves for what laid ahead of you.

Next was Minji, who greeted you with a sweet smile. You could see the anger in her eyes however, and sense the malice in her tone, though she kept up a sweet facade for the media. "How dare you show up here." Minji said, her smile never fading, and it terrified you. "I want to make things right." You curtly replied, seeing Minji's face turn somewhat judgemental, as if trying to determine your true purpose. "You can't mend what's been broken, especially after you stomped on it. If you really think you deserve her after all that you've put her through, you're a bigger idiot then I first thought you were." Minji's facade dropped for a moment, as if to hammer her point home. She wasn't wrong, and you knew it, but you owed her a try. "I'm an idiot then." You said with a resolute tone, Minji reeling a little in surprise, as if thunderstruck by your words She moved to reply, but she stopped herself, pursing her lips, then nodding, tilting her head towards the last member of the group.

Moving down the line, you stood in front of the person who was once your world.  "Hey Dani." You lightly whispered, terrified to how Danielle would react. Danielle looked up with a mask of uncertainty, though it quickly melted away as she gave you a smile, the smile you had seen when you first fell in love with her. "Dani, I'm s-" You tried to talk, but Danielle quickly cut you off "How've you been?" Danielle asked, taking an album from under the table, preparing to sign it. You looked at her with apprehension, before a small smile flashed on your face. "I've been fine, there's been some problematic patients at the ER but I'm doing fine. How are you? Have you been eating well?" You asked, concern laced in your tone. Danielle stopped her signing, looking at you in shock, causing you to curse yourself. Her face conveyed a sense of forlorn nostalgia, and slight hurt. "I have. Thanks for asking." Danielle replied, before waving you off, causing you to finally notice the queue moving on, the security guard beckoning you to continue. Crestfallen at not being able to do what you came to do, you slowly walked down the stage, before finally noticing a note from Danielle, telling you to stay and meet her after the fanmeet. You felt yourself fill with ecstasy, feeling a pep in your step as you headed to where Danielle had told you to wait.

An hour or so passed, then you saw two figures emerge from the hallway. By now, Minji's facade was all but gone, shooting you a piercing glare as she wrapped a protective arm around Danielle "I'm going to be fine, Minji-unnie, go wait with the girls, I'll be there in a little bit." Danielle whispered to Minji, but she stood unwaveringly, as if not hearing Danielle. Only when Danielle lightly shook her, causing Minji to turn to her. Danielle gave her a small nod, as Minji acknowledged, slowly leaving the room, but never taking her eyes off you.

As Minji left the room, an air of tension and awkwardness filled the room, and it suffocated both you and Danielle. The two of you stood in the room, exchanging glances, almost afraid to make the first move. Eventually though, Danielle had the first word. "Why have you come here?" Danielle asked, her warm tone contrasting the seemingly sharp question. "You." You answered in a straightforward manner, Danielle nodding as if she anticipated that answer. "I mean, what do you hope to accomplish by coming here today?" Danielle's eyes narrowed, a look you had never seen before. "I'm still in love with you Danielle." You blurted out, unable to think of anything else to say, Danielle letting out a slight chuckle. "I find that hard to believe, given how we ended."Danielle commented, running her hand through her hair, turning away from you. "I know I've made mistakes in the past, and I want to make up for them, if you're willing." You said, tone laced with desperation. "Why should I give you a second chance, after all you did? You left me for your career. I was willing to leave everything for you. " Danielle began to clench her fist, anger evident, but still controlled. "Because I was an idiot, Dani. I was an idiot for thinking that any stupid job or career was worth losing you for." You pleaded, voice beginning to crack as the prospect of losing Danielle permanently this time seemed to be a forgone conclusion. "I'm sorry, but no." Turning to face you, Danielle looked at you dead in the eye, a resolute tone, with seeming finality in her voice, but there was a softness to it too, and you had no clue what to make of it. "Dani, please, remember what we said all those years ago? No matter what the other did, we'd always love each other, right? Please." Your last word came out more of a whimper than a coherent word, feeling your world crashing down around you. "I still love you. I've always loved you." Danielle whispered "Even if I do eventually forgive you for what you did, I can never forget what happened. I'm sorry, but I can't be in love with you." Danielle turned away, leaving you in the room, but not before you felt your heart break at her last words "You and me, whatever we are, We hurt too much."
