Hi! I hope you don't mind if I ask you for some help- you seem to be quite knowledgeable about Interior Design! I have an interview in a couple days for a university which I am applying to for the field and I was hoping if you could help provide me with some insight into what could be asked or any helpful matter. I would be very grateful to you! Thank you so much. Please tag your answer with marshmallowbehindyou so I can view it conveniently. Thanks, again!
Where are you applying? If you are applying to the US/UK, I would suggest that you discuss the things you have written in your essay/personal statement. It is quite often that the interviewers will ask you anyway, but to be prepared to talk about it elaborately would give them more details and try to sell yourself.
I’m not sure about your university, but most are very interested in your Design portfolio. You should prepare a few projects on hand (printed out or actual pieces) and talk about them in detail to show them how much you know about the course. This shouldn’t take too much time, ie. no more than 4-5 minutes in total.
Besides that, given that this is an interview and they are meant to be asking the questions not you, just be confident, grasp the key concepts of their course and show them that you are knowledgeable, flexible and always ready to learn things.
Hope that helps!
