Me too, me too... And I mean I get that some jokes sadly can't be translated but I feel like they don't even try. Like the tone that they say the translated lines in is also way off and doesn't match the facial expression of the actor or the mood of the scene at all

Sure, there’s stuff that’s untranslatable, but there are definitely moments when people don’t try at all. And you’re totally right, sometimes voice actors in dubbing fail, too. Which is terrible, and makes me grateful we don’t dub most non-animated movies or shows in Poland.

Omg it's the same in German!!! For all my shows. I hate it so so much. I think the most ridiculous thing was when somebody confessed their love for a person using the formal you... I was like wtaf? This is not what would happen?

right? how ridiculous is that?? like, this violates the basic rules of audiovisual translation?? and when people who are not professionally trained to see the mistakes see them so easily?? this is a major FAIL. I take this like a personal offense

Hey :) you had the idea about this promotion movement for POI because of all the recent negativity about the show on tumblr, right? I really like it and would want to join. Seeing how there are many talented and creative people in our fandom I think it would be really nice if we maybe did a countdown of sorts with "art" that someone created inspired by/for the show and added a message to it (why they love poi or something like that. Just something positive) But it's just an idea :)

maybe for people who aren't able to create content some of us who can can volunteer to take prompts/ideas? I'm absolutely all for it (I'm @fangirlintheattic and @poiintheattic) and there can be a tag like #poi+. If someone wants to make a masterpost of accounts that want to be a part of it we could all follow each other

Everybody is related which makes 90% of the relationships weird and questionable. Magic stuff seems cool at first never works out in the end... Wow this is so bad that I don't even know if I could guess it weren't I the one describing
