And this was the one I’d originally set about to post today, but my old blog post of this only had static photos, so wasn’t much help for analysis. A little digging on Google Images netted these - I’m not sure who actually made them to begin with though. And as usual, Martin was asked a fairly innocuous question about how they got along and assumed they were asking about sex. He does this. A lot.

Martin Freeman Interview - Sherlock, Marvel, Fame & Fans, September 2015 This is the entire interview but I’ve got it cued up at 2:52, where he gets the question about finding Ben’s cheekbones distracting. There’s a bit of fumbling around there, then after the “well, he might” we just go to straight out stammering and finally a blush. It’s adorable.
Martin gets very dancey when he’s nervous and it looks like he was nervous all throughout this interview - not just with the Johnlock and Ben stuff, poor guy.
So about that “frosty relationship”...
I’ve been having a number of discussions/asks come in about this. First of all, we know it’s bullshit because we’ve seen EXTREMELY strong evidence to the contrary with our own eyes. But also, may I remind you that:
The same story was submitted to 3 different papers at the same time (update), which means someone had an agenda
Martin is living in Belsize now
Which is an 8 minute drive from Benedict’s digs (which are in Dartmouth Park)
A distance estimator on Google Maps says that this is about 2.5 miles as the crow flies, a little more by road (we don’t have the exact addresses, but this is from park to park the areas are named for).
Benedict has been seen coming out of what people believe to be Martin’s new place (though if it’s Martin’s is up for debate - it’s still a strange coincidence)
And...
Martin lives in Belsize, Ben lives in Dartmouth. So why is Martin wearing this in several of his new interviews?
He doesn’t live there. He doesn’t support teams that live there.... so... he’s just particularly fond of Dartmouth?

Interviewer: “Do you have a bit of a man-crush on Benedict?”
Martin: “No, weirdly, I don’t. No, weirdly. No. I kno...huh...’cause I know him. [sniff]”
Frozen smile, head tilt, repetition, blink blink blink...
