I'm glad the animators kept making sure to check with Araki, but there was a backstory in the manga -Risotto Nero's -that didn't make it into the anime. Why do you think they left that one out?

I don’t know. They probably felt almost obligated to add the Fugo content: the other Bucci gang members have detailed flashbacks and the anime uses these at predictable points as a way of framing each character before one of their major fights ... so for symmety’s sake Fugo’d need one as well.  But Risotto would’ve made a good addition since his background’s already partially outlined in the manga.

I haven’t played Mario Party in a while, so I looked it up and couldn’t stop laughing at the thought of Prosciutto and Risotto being the most confused and worst players at this, but super into it. Like they have the Switch version and Prosciutto and Risotto are standing and doing some of the moves required and some of the others are just fighting the urge to laugh their asses off.
