Dragon figure of the day: Marusan Godzilla King Ghidorah (Millennium Dragon King Ver.)
marusan / circle shade from coroika (splatoon manga) :3
Marusan A.K.A Circle Shades from Coroika is Autistic!
Marusan gashapon (“marugacha”) Godzilla toys. The figures are 2” tall and are usually acquired from vending machines.
I get a kick out of these 3 3/4 inch figures by Super 7. Making miniature replicas of large vintage toys is a nice niche they found for themselves. I wonder what other figures in that line are on the horizon?

Released as part of Super7's new dedicated Godzilla line. So not an homage, or a reference to any previous toy, or historical artifact. A line of wholly original 5poa (5 points of articulation) figures.
The result is a mixed bag. It's a good sculpt, nothing exceptional - but solid.
You can see the sculpted details like rivets and joints, but the light colored plastic doesn't help accentuate anything.
The paint is lacking. Most of the figure is unpainted light grey plastic - so the little paint applications it does have should be razor sharp, right? I mean, they're okay. But the MG on his arm is shakey, the teeth are poorly defined, and the whole thing is cast in such a light plastic that all of the details get washed out.
The whole line is like this, honestly. Good figure, but all feeling a little flat.
Not a disappointment, but I'll probably wait for interesting colorways before revisiting.
