HEY. I’ve had enough time to recover from and miss being on my Japan Honeymoon with my wife. Lucky for us I’ve immortalized my stay at the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku’s very special Godzilla suite with a video. Check it out if you are interested to see what’s offered at this exclusive room for die-hard Godzilla fans!

Much to my surprise, this room came with several pieces of exclusive merch, which is awesome if you’re a mark for Godzilla merch like me. Provided for us at check-in was:

-A vinyl miniature of the Godzilla head sculpture on the 8th floor Hotel Gracery terrace

-Two Hotel Gracery Godzilla Room collector coins (they let you engrave onto them, one had our hyphenated last name and the other was kept unaltered)

-A pair of Godzilla room drinking glasses (for sake? I brought a bit back with me so we’ve got to try them out just once)

-Exclusive Hotel Gracery Godzilla postcards)

-Hotel Gracery Godzilla bags for your items

-Booklets with hotel info

-You get to keep the room keys (!!!!!)

This display also includes other merch I picked up (Godzilla character chopsticks, Mothra metal chopstick holder, GMK design pen). In addition, here’s other Godzilla merch I picked up around Tokyo.

That’s it!! I originally had a call out part of the video to give props to some other tumblr Godzilla fandom figures I appreciate, but it was embarrassing and I didn’t want to make anyone feel weird about a stranger’s fandom compliments. Still, if we’re mutuals I love you and I want to thank you for your support thus far!!

I love this Hedorah ssso much the sculpt is perfect. I missed out on the oil slick release & I think I might have to grab it on the secondary market. This is the Cherry Blossom version.

This gorgeous little finger puppet sofubi was a thrift find at Book Off. I love the completely off-model color scheme, and those sharp sculpt detailing so characteristic of soft vinyl.
