Loki Headcannon

coming home to Loki after a long day would include ::

-it's been a /long/ day and a longer mission

-you were tired. very tired

-Loki was sitting on your bed, watching a movie cuddled up in a blanket

-he was wearing a cropped, soft blue sweatshirt and nothing but boxers

-he'd been waiting for you for at least three hours since you had called to tell him you were on your way home (because he's a frickin softie and he definitely gets attached to his partner and i will die on this hill)

-he was sleepily dozing off when you walked into the bedroom

-he lit up when he saw you, standing and giving you a quick hug

-you buried your head into the crook of his neck "missed you", you hummed

-he smiled and sighed softly "I missed you too, my love"

-he walked to the bed, compiling blankets and pillows

-you tugged off your mission gear and pulled on a pair of soft cotton shorts; leaving your chest bare

-you turned off the light and climbed into bed next to Loki

-he pulled you into him and snaked his arm around your mid-drift and the other under your head, rustling his fingers through your hair lazily

-you laid a hand on top of the one of Loki's that held you to to him and you let the other fling out wherever it would fall

-his chin rested on your cheekbone and his cropped sweatshirt was pressed to your bare back

-you were close to sleep, the warmth of Loki and the blanket edging you closer

-"night Lo, love you" you said leaning around to press a sweet kiss to his cheekbone

-he settled you back into his arms as you cozied into him

-"I love you too, y/n." he whispered and kissed your temple before falling asleep with you in his arms

-"goodnight, my prince"
