You were burning with fever. There were horrible spots spreading all over your body, and you didn't even have the strength to get out of bed.
You desperately searched for some explanation in the alien medical books. But you found absolutely nothing. You were getting frustrated. Until you heard someone knocking on your bedroom door. "Hey y/n... You need to work too, you know that?" Yondu said from the other side of the door. You felt nausea rising, a lump forming in your throat. Yondu Udonta is your captain! You're always strong around him, you have to always be strong around him The idea of Yondu seeing you all defeated and sick left you in despair. "Leave me alone, Udonta!" You shouted, trying to sound convincing, and at the same time, trying not to insult your captain. Yondu lost his patience. He used a master key to open the door to his room. Who do you think you are to talk to him like that?You only had time to hide under your covers before he opened the door furiously."What's this story about talking to me like that?" He said, going to the bed. You shivered under the blankets. Yondu grabs the hem of the blanket and rips it off you. His mouth drops open for a second, then he lets out a hearty laugh. He sits on the edge of the bed. "You're really sick, aren't you?" You wanted to hit him, DAMN IT, ISN'T THAT OBVIOUS?! He places his hand on your forehead. "It's not that serious... You just drank something you really shouldn't have..." You immediately remembered a time when you were in Contraxia, with the rest of the pack, and ended up accepting a strange orange-hued drink. The alien who offered you the free drink didn't seem suspicious at the time. But now you realize that there was something wrong with him... Very wrong. Exactly, that bastard poisoned you!!!!!
Yondu smiled softly, something that was hard to see coming from him. He stroked her hair gently. And then he stood up. "Damn S/n Don't worry about it! To solve this, just drink a tea made from the same plant as the drink you drank to contract the disease.Lucky for you, we have that plant right here on the ship. I'll have Kraglin boil it for you to take!"
He got up and walked quickly down the hall. And you stood there, completely perplexed, after all, where had you ever seen that man be so kind?But he went with you, didn't he? Don't be fooled, he's just your captain...Yondu brought a steaming mug and raised it to your lips. It was bitter, but you made an effort to drink it all. And within half an hour you were completely better, with no sign of that ridiculous illness from before. Yondu winked at you as he watched you grab your weapons and get ready for your next job. "Don't drink anything suspicious this time, brat!" He said with a smile, before turning his attention back to commanding the ship.
