Clint hiding in a vent aiming a water balloon at...
Clint and Matt would probably prank Luke
see now THAT definitely sounds right
Mindhunter is a really good show. It’s about two FBI agents who are the ones who created the bau and they go around the country and interview well known killers and use those to understand how a killer kills and delves into the beginnings of criminal psychology and profiling. It’s like a prequel to cm. Season two comes out August 16th so it’s now is a good time to start
Ummmm apparently tumblr sucks because I had absolutely no notif for this ask until I checked my desktop inbox now.... so sorry. And I’ve actually been recommended mindhunter!! Its on my watchlist and ppl told me basically the same stuff about how its a prequel. Its def something I might watch. Thank you for the rec <3
I’m wondering how they’ll explain how kamala got her powers considering in the comics she’s inhuman but that only exists in the marvel tv universe and we all know feigie won’t touch that part of marvel. But I would love it if that’s his only way to go because we would finally get some actual tv references in the mcu films
we’ll have to see!!!
I didn’t notice that Daniel was on tip toes and after looking at the photo I can see that mgg is as well. Those two are the tallest they don’t need to do this everyone 😂
i’m still crying about it lmao
Out of Breath Over Orange Chicken
This is a JJ x reader requested by @marvelfanlife. This is another one of my 2 am attempts, so I apologize if I missed any incoherencies in my editing process. I’d also like to apologize for the delay in getting it posted, I obviously haven’t been great at keeping up with actively posting lately, so I’m super duper trooper gooper sorry about that, y'all. I hope you enjoy this anyway :)
You and JJ both meet whilst on your runs and you fall foreach other. You ask her out on a date, and she says yes.
“Oh, no you don’t!” JJ laughed, out of breath, pushing herself harder, running even faster.
You laughed over your shoulder, grinning happily, “Wow, Jareau, you’re getting behind!”
JJ pushed herself farther, right up until the end where you both raced right up to the designated ‘finish line’, your favorite park bench. You barked out a laugh, “You totally cheated!”
She just smiled magnificently, struggling to catch her breath even after her close victory, “I didn’t cheat, I promise.” Her grin turned almost mischievous, “Just got lucky, I guess. Maybe next time you will.”
You laughed, because laughing around JJ always came easily. You barely knew this woman, the fast blonde that would race you at the park on Wednesdays and Saturdays and always end with a laugh, but you knew for sure that you liked her. A lot.
“Would you mind if I took you out for dinner?” You asked, still catching your breath, “To celebrate your win, of course.”
“Well, I don’t know if I would go just to celebrate, though I clearly deserve one, but I’d go on a date with you if that’s what you mean.”
“Oh, that is definitely what I mean.”
JJ shifted, pulling her phone out of the waistband of her running pants and typing it in, “I would love to, y/n.” She smiled beatifically (Which, okay, how is that possible? She was smiling impossibly, bright and genial when she was sweaty and glowing after the run in the wake of victory, but this was a whole new level. Wow.)
You jogged away, perpetually smiling, “I’ll pick you up at 8, Jareau.”
“I’m gonna be honest,” JJ said, starting off the date at her front porch, “It’s been…. a while since I’ve dated. Not since Will left, so I’m a little nervous.”
You bit back a laugh, because this was Jennifer Jareau badass extraordinaire and here she was seemingly worried about a silly little date, “You? Nervous? Really?”
“What can I say? I’m a chronic overthinker.”
You stared at her, studying the stunning features of your date’s fate, riddled with unnecessary nerves, “JJ, I have a proposition for you.”
“Really?” She grinned, just on the edge of a laugh like she always was, “And what’s that?”
“You see, I was planning on taking you to a fancy dinner with dancing and dessert, the whole thing, but how would you feel about something a little more casual?”
JJ melted into the passenger seat of your car at the thought of that, “I think I would love that.”
“Good.” You said, turning the ignition and listening to the soft rumble of the car’s engine.
“So where are you taking me?”
You let out a loud laugh at that, grinning at JJ in the way you only seemed to do with her, “Now, that, Jareau, is a surprise.”
“Oh, y/n,” JJ moaned, “This was a very, very good idea.”
You laughed, “Who knew you would have felt so strongly about All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Food buffets, Jareau?”
JJ jostled you in the side, shoving another fork full of food into her mouth, “You don’t know the half of it.”
“Well, if your seeming obsession with orange chicken and shrimp chips dipped in yum yum sauce is any indication, you’re having a fairly good time.”
“Hey,” JJ defended, “At least more than half of my plate is actual Chinese food! You just ate a bunch of chicken tenders!”
“I like my American food, sue me!” You laughed, settling into JJ’s side.
The pair of you continued to eat your meals in semi-silence punctuated by quiet conversation and further teasing when it came to food preferences/choices/sheer quantities (JJ may be small, but she ate like a 200 pound wrestler a day away from weigh-in).
The small, Asian waitress returned with an apologetic smile, “We’re closing soon, ladies. Here’s your check.”
JJ smiled politely, but as soon as the waitress walked away, you collapsed into the booth, “I don’t think I’ll ever eat again.” JJ only laughed at your pain, which was incredible considering that she had an entire plate of food more than you.
“I’ve got the check.” She answered simply, but you frowned, refused, and grabbed at the piece of paper before she could.
“Wasn’t I the one that asked you out on this date? I’ve got the check, Jareau. Don’t worry about it.”
JJ wanted to protest, it was second nature, but you watched her jaw move up and down for a moment, causing her to resemble something like a (very adorable and good looking) fish, before deciding to just let you pay and smile quietly instead, “Fine, but I pay next time.”
You loved the sound of that: next time, “Of course.”
Slowly, the pair of you meandered out of the restaurant, profusely thanking and complimenting the owners who waited impatiently by the door on your way out. Most of the ride back to JJ’s place was spent in Chinese-addled overhaul, sitting and driving and counting streetlights as they passed.
Like the good date that you were, you walked JJ to her door when you got to her place, both sporting supple smiles as your shoulder brushed against each others over and over again.
“I had a really good time tonight, y/n.” JJ said, leaning away from her front door and obviously doing her best to prolong the evening just a little bit.
You couldn’t help but smile, too, because in no time you were going to be crazy about this girl, no doubt, “I’m glad, Jareau. Really glad.”
“JJ.” She insisted, swaying just a little, “My friends, and especially my dates, call me JJ.”
Her lips brushed against yours, gentle and warm. JJ’s breath lapsed against the edge of your lips as she laughed.
“Of course, JJ.” You murmured as she kissed you, slow and sweet and rewarding.
JJ’s lips still tasted like orange chicken.
“Good night, y/n.” she whispered, slipping quietly into the house, and leaving you utterly out of breath and with a sudden craving for orange chicken.
