"Black Jack: Phoenix Chapter," a Nintendo DS game released in 2006.

This game features a challenging gameplay style where you must save patients in critical condition, an original story full of mystery and human emotion, and plenty of Tezuka star system elements, including the Phoenix, Astro Boy, Higeoyaji, and Rock.

High quality images showing the 2005 Tezuka Osamu Nengajyo Sozaishu (in English: 2005 Osamu Tezuka Character New Year's Card Material Collection). The book, and a CD-ROM that comes with it, shows official Tezuka Productions artworks used as New Year's cards in Japan. The CD-ROM contains very rare Tezuka Productions clip art.

The book, which released on October 16, 2004 despite being listed as a 2005 product, is still available to purchase used and through second-hand sources; the Amazon Japan sourced link shows some sources where you can still buy it.

Bonney is basically that classic magical girl trope where the young lead gets a magical item that lets them transform into an older alter ego who represents their potential in the future.

I almost used the cowboy Momo outfit where she has a gun because I thought it was really funny, but then I found the one episode where she turns into a pirate, which seemed even more appropriate! 🏴‍☠️ (Ep. 54 of the '91 series if you're curious.) The magic wands were super fun to draw, but I did run into a problem where the version drawn in the series looked pretty different from the actual toy, so I referenced both versions a little 👍

Sorry about the crunchy quality, but I took these from maybe a YT video and Frostii / Froth-Bite's BJ's 2000's subs are now in danger of becoming lost media, so... have these ancient screencaps. A little girl who looks like Uran is buying balloons from the “clown” (who’s in cahoots with the terrorists.) Astro Boy is standing besides his mother (I think?), holding hands with Melmo. ^^

Does Astro/Tobio have Tenma Hoshie’s love AND *two* little sisters (Uran and Melmo) in this version?! Minus possibly narrowly escaping a terrorist attack, this might be the happiest incarnation of him, ever. ;_;
