Welcome to Marvelous Yahtzee! An all-inclusive Marvel event inspired by the classic dice-rolling game! Roll the Dice and see what they have in store!

General Info:

Inspired by Yahtzee, every participant will receive a blank score sheet with their username.[Sign-Up Here] Roll the dice using [this] online dice roller (or your own IRL dice!) and pick your prompts from the provided lists based on the die you rolled.

Sign Up's Open- June 24th 2024

Start Date- July 1st 2024

NEW! End Date- June 1st 2025

Rules:

You can roll the dice three times per "turn" to get the desired dice you want for the line you are attempting to fill. (ie. Rolling three times for a Full House or a Yahtzee!)

Using the prompt lists, fill in the scorecard line that you would like to use that dice roll on.

You can mix SFW and NSFW prompts, and you may use any prompt up to four times.

Create one fill using all of the prompts chosen for that scorecard line. (It's up to you whether this is a one-shot, a chaptered fic, a new chapter of a current WIP or a mood board! So long as all the words are contained in a single new creation.)

Types of Rolls:

Single Numbers: Roll one to five (1-5) dice of that number

Three of a Kind: Roll three (3) dice of the same number

Four of a Kind: Roll four (4) dice of the same number

Full House: Roll two (2) dice of any number and three (3) dice of another.

Small Straight: Roll four (4) dice in sequential order (ie. 1234)

Large Straight: Roll five (5) dice in sequential order (ie. 12345)

Yahtzee!: Roll five (5) of the same number

This event is for any and all Marvel ships! (Including characters that may have been or currently are underage in the MCU)

Dice rolls are on an honor system! The fun of the game is in rolling the dice. We trust that you're following the rules behind the screen!

If you find yourself stuck on your last one or two scorecard lines, feel free to try again until you get it! We don't want anyone to have an empty scorecard line. We do encourage you to go as far as you can without re-rolling for a specific line first, though!

We welcome SFW and NSFW fills; please be sure to tag accordingly!

No minimum word count!

Be kind! There are a multitude of ships and preferences in the Marvel-verse, and we ask that you treat everyone's creations with respect. If you don't like a ship, move on!

A Cozy Contradiction

This is a fill for my @marvelousyahtzee  Fives prompt combo:  Cozy, Library.  

Fandom: MCU/Marvel Pairing:  Steve Rogers & Tony Stark Rating: General Tags: Avengers Tower,  Library,  Surprises Summary:  Steve had expected the Tower to be just as sleek and modern as the Iron Man Armor. But just like Tony himself, Steve discovered some surprising contradictions.  Word Count: 236

Steve had expected the interior of Stark -  now Avenger - Tower to be just as sleek and modern as the Iron Man Armor.   For the most part, it was exactly that:  steel and glass and bright lights, sharp corners combined with graceful curves.     But just like Tony himself, Steve discovered some surprising contradictions. 

The library, for example, with its floor to ceiling bookshelves covering three of the four walls, the fourth wall made up of  huge wood-framed windows with wide-slatted blinds to temper the light streaming in.    Brightly colored rugs covered the hardwood floor,  and overstuffed chairs were tucked into the corners, accompanied by individual reading lamps.  A quilt rack in by the door held a selection of lap robes, and a self-serve coffee and hot beverage bar was positioned under the windows.  

There were a couple of large study tables in the middle of the room, antique oak with intricate carved scrollwork on the legs.  “Sometimes I’ll browse through old engineering books and such down here,” Tony admitted, trailing one hand over a shelf of linen-bound journals, “see if anything from back then sparks new ideas.”  

“And sometimes it’s nice to just escape into a novel, right?” he added.  “There’s plenty of fiction here on the shelves, too; old and new. Take your pick, Cap.  No overdue fines here.” 

“Thanks, Tony.”   Steve browsed around, finding a familiar title.  “I think I’ll start with this one here.”

A Sweet Interlude

This is a fill for today’s  @fluff-cember prompt  Day 01: Roasted Marshmallows  as well as my @marvelousyahtzee Fours prompt combo: Omegaverse & Aftercare.  

Fandom:  MCU/Marvel Pairing:  Tony Stark/ Bucky Barnes Rating:  Teen Tags:  Double drabble, Omegaverse,  omega!Tony, alpha!Bucky,  implied sexual content,  food as a love language  Summary:  After a round of heat-fueled sex,  Tony’s alpha brings him a sweet treat.   Word Count: 200 words

Tony blinked himself awake, then stretched  luxuriously in the nest of blankets and pillows that - although he himself was clean, thanks to the bubble bath his alpha had drawn for him before his nap - still smelled deliciously of their heat-fueled sex.

“You rested up, darlin’?”  Bucky walked in the room, carrying a tray with two steaming mugs.   “I made you some hot cocoa.  Even toasted a couple of  marshmallows over the stove burner.” 

“No coffee?”  Tony asked, unable to keep from pouting, just a little.      

Bucky shook his head. “You don’t need the caffeine right now.”  Bucky handed over a mug, which Tony had to admit smelled tempting.   He took a sip, and yeah, it was amazing.  Smooth and creamy and just sweet enough, with a hint of mocha.   The marshmallows added another heavenly dimension of flavor.  He may have moaned, just a little.  

“Good?”  Bucky asked, a satisfied smirk  playing around the corner of his lips. 

“God yes,”  Tony replied,  a happy purr bubbling up from his chest as Bucky snuggled in next to him.  “And I’m gonna need these calories later, aren’t I, hot stuff?” 

Bucky’s eyes darkened as his smirk gradually grew teeth. “You know it, sweetheart.”

Ripple Effect

A belated fill for yesterday’s  @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt  [#FFF281 Ripple Effect] along with my @marvelousyahtzee Threes  prompt combo:  College, Friends, Secret, Date Night, Competition

Fandom: MCU/Marvel Pairing:  Steve Rogers/Tony Stark  (background Bucky Barnes/Natasha Romanov,  Sam Wilson/Sharon Carter,  Clint Barton/Phil Coulson)   Tags:  College AU, Mutual Pining, Matchmaking,  Date Night  Summary:  Steve isn’t sure what to do when his crush gets invited to his friend group’s  get-together;  fortunately, everyone else does. Word Count: 733

“You did what?”  

“Asked Tony if he wanted to come to our  ‘blow off some steam before exam week’  get-together.”   Nat replied, as if it made perfect sense to invite  Steve’s semi-secret crush to their apartment.  “Well, technically Bucky asked him, since he ran into Tony first,  but it was my idea.” 

“And he said yes?”  Steve spluttered, feeling an asthma attack coming on.   Surely someone like Tony would have already had plans - or a date.

“Sure did.  Said he’d spring for pizza, as a matter of fact.  So why don’t you go get ready?”   She pushed Steve towards his room.  “Put on your  blue sweater  - it shows off your eyes.”  

His and Bucky’s apartment wasn’t  that big, so once everyone showed up,  seating was at a premium.  Nat and Bucky were on the loveseat,  while  Sam and Sharon  and  Clint and Phil claimed the dining room chairs.  So when Tony arrived, the only seat left was the overstuffed armchair that Bucky had dragged home from who knows where. 

“Go ahead, Tony.” Steve offered, “I’ll just sit on the floor or something.” 

“Nah, Tony replied, scooching over to one side  and patting the seat companionably. “we can share. I promise I put deodorant on today.” 

Steve felt a blush creep over his cheeks as his unruly imagination flashed an image of Tony wearing nothing but a towel.  “Uh, okay.”  It was a tight fit; thighs pressed against one another and shoulders brushing, but there was something comforting about it as well.   

Once the pizza arrived, the boxes got passed around with everyone grabbing a slice or two.   The conversation turned towards their classes, with everyone sharing stories of the weirdest professors.  Nat started with her ballet  instructor who on occasion forgot what country he was in and started giving instructions in Russian.  

“You think that’s weird,” Steve chipped in.  “I had an art professor who couldn’t stand cubism.  He had a huge hate-on for Picasso - blamed him for and I quote,  ‘ruining the world of art for decades’.” 

“Speaking of ruining things,”  Bucky added,  “When my Micromechanics of materials prof reaches the edge of the white board, she just keeps writing.   Scribbles all over the walls, then gets offended when we call her  out for it.  I wonder if the university charges her for the work it takes to scrub it off.” 

“That’s Zylinski, isn’t it?” Tony laughed.  “She’s been doing that for years.” 

“I thought you were a physics major?” Bucky asked, a confused look on his face.  “When did you take a class from her?” 

“Um, two years ago,” Tony replied with a nervous fidget. “I got a degree in MechE.” 

“You’re a year younger than me and working on a second degree?”  Steve blurted out; Tony was even smarter than he’d thought. 

“Third, actually.”  Tony grimaced.  “I started taking classes when I was fourteen.” 

“That’s amazing, Tony! I’m really impressed!” 

“You are?” Tony’s gave him a surprised look; his whiskey brown eyes even darker and more appealing close up.  “Most people think I’m showing off or something.”  

“Not at all,” Steve reassured him, patting Tony’s knee before he could stop himself.   

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw  Clint signing to Phil, “They should just kiss already.”   The blood rushed to his cheeks; did all his friends know how he felt about Tony?  

“Maybe we should set an example,” Phil signed back, pressing his lips to Clint’s temple as he put his arm around his partner’s shoulders. 

“I’ll drink to that!” Sam exclaimed, chugging the rest of his soda and pulling Sharon into his lap.  She giggled and tugged his face down to meet hers as  Nat and Bucky locked lips.  

“If I’d known this was going to turn into a makeout party,” Tony commented dryly, “I’d have brought my breath strips.”  

“I am so sorry,” Steve apologized, cheeks flaming as he scrambled to his feet.  “It’s just–” 

“That you think of me as a friend,”  Tony interrupted with a sigh. “It’s okay.  I should have known better than to get my hopes up.” 

“What? Wait - you like me?”  Steve asked, a mix of confusion and hope flooding his chest. 

“Of course he does,  Steve.” Nat broke in, making herself more comfortable in Bucky’s embrace. “That’s why I invited him.  Steve’s got a huge crush on you too, Tony.”  She waved at them impatiently.  “Less talking, more smooching.”

Safe (As) Houses

This is a fill for my @marvelousyahtzee Small Straight: Safe, Threesome, One Bed, Cozy as well as the WinterIron Gets It Done November bingo FREE square.

Pairing: Tony & Bucky & Steve (Stuckony if you squint) Rating: General Tags:  Post Mission, Safe Houses,  Hurt/Comfort, Banter Summary: After their mission goes sideways, Tony, Bucky and a wounded Steve hole up in a cabin while they wait for extraction.  Word Count: 502

“When you said it was a safe house, I assumed there would be more than one room,”  Tony commented dryly as he exited the armor and triggered the secure homing beacon. 

There wasn’t much to the rustic cabin that Bucky had led them to after their mission had gone sideways. At least there was running water and indoor plumbing; at first glance, Tony had expected an outhouse and a hand pump. 

“Beggars can’t be choosers, hotshot,” Bucky shot back as he maneuvered Steve through the narrow doorway. “Especially when you’ve got a teammate who carries a goddamned target into battle.” 

“Blame Howard for that,”  Steve mumbled, hissing in pain as Bucky sat him down on the edge of the bed.  “The shield’s paint job was his design.”  

Tony huffed out a laugh and Bucky rolled his eyes, even as he checked over Steve’s injuries.  “Check in that footlocker for a medkit, wouldja?”   

“You got it.”  Tony did as he was told, finding a bright orange box labeled in Cyrillic with a familiar cross stamped on it. He handed it over, and Bucky started putting its contents to good use. 

“ ‘M gonna be fine, Buck,” Steve declared grumpily, “I just need some rest.”   He lay back with a grunt and sigh, throwing his uninjured arm over his eyes.        

“We all do,”  Tony sank down into the only chair.   “I suppose pizza delivery is out of the question?”  

Bucky rolled his eyes again.  “Does the term ‘off the grid’ mean anything to you?”  He gestured to a lantern sitting next to the sink. “That’s gonna be our only light come sundown, and I have no idea how much fuel it’s got.” 

“Speaking of fuel,” Tony stood and started rummaging around in the only cabinet.  “you and Cap both need to get some calories in you.”   He pulled several cardboard boxes out,  tossing one to Bucky.    “Looks like we got some Russian rations here.” 

Bucky wrinkled his nose.   “Individualnovo Ratsiona Pitanee – Povsedyen. Ugh - we might be better off foraging for nuts and berries. Or setting a snare for rabbits.” 

“I am way too old to start earning Boy Scout badges, sunshine,” Tony replied with a grimace.  “I’ll take my chances with Lenin’s lunchables. How about you, Cap?”  

Steve did his best impression of a baby bird, simply opening his mouth.  “You are a trusting soul, aren’t you?”  Tony chuckled as he unwrapped one of the caramel candies and popped it between Steve’s lips.  “How about some crackers and jam?  Then we can move onto the cans o’ mystery meat.”

“That’s fine  -  and thanks, Tony,”  Steve rasped out; clearly the events of the day were catching up to him.  Bucky set up a couple  of the portable heaters that had come with the rations and started heating up water.  The scene was almost domestic and unexpectedly cozy.   

“You’re welcome, Steve,” Tony responded warmly.  “Now budge over. Assuming we have to spend the night here, all three of us have got to squeeze into this bed somehow.”
