Welcome to Marvelous Yahtzee! An all-inclusive Marvel event inspired by the classic dice-rolling game! Roll the Dice and see what they have in store! Posting begins July 1st!
► How does this work? Roll the dice using this online dice roller (or your own IRL dice!) and pick your prompts from the provided lists based on the die you rolled. New lists are released every month, providing an endless amount of options for fics galore! Fill a scorecard, or two, or three!
► How do I join? Download the blank card and get rolling! This event is open to all Marvel creators. No sign-up required. All we ask is that you don't use AI!
► What are the rules?
You can roll the dice three times per "turn" to get the desired dice you want for the line you are attempting to fill. (ie. Rolling three times for a Full House or a Yahtzee!)
Chicken or the egg? Which came first? The answer is either! Pick words from our prompt lists to spark an idea from scratch or pick words that work with an idea you've already been stewing on! View all prompt cards here.
Create one fill using all of the prompts chosen for that scorecard line. It's up to you whether this is a one-shot, a chaptered fic, a new chapter of a current WIP, a mood board, or fan art! Create to your heart's content! So long as all the words are contained in a single new creation.

► I've never played Yahtzee. What do all these words mean? If you've never played, here's a quick video on how to play or read the og rules here! Feel free to use your own dice or this online dice roller to play.
Single Numbers: Roll one to five (1-5) dice of that number
Three of a Kind: Roll three (3) dice of the same number
Four of a Kind: Roll four (4) dice of the same number
Full House: Roll two (2) dice of any number and three (3) dice of another.
Small Straight: Roll four (4) dice in sequential order (ie. 1234)
Large Straight: Roll five (5) dice in sequential order (ie. 12345)
Yahtzee!: Roll five (5) of the same number
► How do I fill out the card? After you've rolled your dice and decided which roll to apply it to, pick words off any prompt list that corresponds with the correct number. ie, if you have (3) threes, you can select any prompt under a three category on any list. You can use any photo editor that allows you to add text to an image to complete your card. (Canva is excellent and free to use!)
► I prefer spreadsheets. No problem, we've got you covered! You can get the spreadsheet version of the card here.
► When does it end? NEVER! Marvelous Yahtzee is now roundless! We'll be posting themed cards every month to inspire new ideas, so feel free to update your word lists at any time if something new sparks your interest. Finished your card? Start another and challenge yourself to something new!
► Will you be reblogging everything? No, but we will be doing regular round-up posts! To stay up-to-date, be sure to check out the tag and AO3 collection.
► Are there any theme or ship restrictions? Nope! This event is for all Marvel creators, full stop. We only ask that you tag appropriately and refrain from using AI.

I wanna ask how to play, because the pinned post confused me a little... Is there an easier / simpler explanation? This looks so cool!!!
Like regular yahtzee, you roll the dice 3 times (your own or you can use a generator) per "turn" to find out the numbers you get for each category. If you're unfamiliar with how to play Yahtzee, here is a video explainer!
Let's say you get 3 Ones for the Ones category - you then pick three prompts from the Ones category on any of the prompt cards. You can mix and match cards to get the perfect prompt list for your fanwork!
For the categories such as Full House or Small Straight, you'll get multiple numbers on the die. For example, with a Small Straight you might get 2, 3, 4, 5. So you'd pick a prompt from a Two list, a Three list, etc.
You don't have to fill out the card all at once, since we release new prompt cards periodically. For my own fics, I roll the dice to see which category I rolled, and then pick prompts that will fit the fic I'm currently working on.

Sorry I'm a bit confused, if I was to roll a full house for example how do I pick prompts for it?❤️
Oh, no worries!
So, let's say for example, you rolled two 4's and three 2's - you would pick two prompts from any list under the fours, and three prompts from any list under the twos!
It's the first batch of our new monthly prompt lists! We hope these four cards provide a good starting point for your creations!
Simple Starts: Use these prompts as a jumping-off point for your creations!
Alternate Universe: A multiverse of madness! Put your favorite characters in a new scenario.
Characters: Not sure who to write about? Pick an old favorite or someone new! (Please note this is mostly 'good guy' characters. Villains/ Antagonists will be coming during our October lists!)
