what i get from this song is you got close to someone/were already close to them, and they did something really bad either to you, or just in general, or something really bad happened to them. this upset you greatly and you ran away from it (not right away, though) and you never wanted to be close to someone again after it. though you felt guilty over this, and you possibly thought running away wasn’t the best thing you could’ve done in the situation, you just kept moving. you didn’t know what to do after it, you were just confused and angry at everything, but you kept running away and avoiding it in hopes you’d end up somewhere better.
