Seto saved Mary

and bc of it he was able to control his eye ability

if he couldn't control his eye ability, Seto probably will live the rest of his live hiding from other ppl

so basically they save each other.. 

and when kuroha threatened Mary to release her medusa power, he said that 'Seto is dear to Mary'..

and Seto always stays at Mary's side
