He would have a girl! (of course)
He has been freaked out since you told him you were pregnant and it definitely doesn’t stop after the baby comes
Has no idea wtf he is doing, and honestly for a long time was even afraid of holding the baby out of fear that he might do something wrong
He tried to change her diaper once and got confused and couldn’t figure it out so he just gave up
Even after showing him step by step multiple times, you still have days you come home to a naked baby and Yasumasa just scowling
“What? She kept wriggling and I couldn’t get the damned thing on her, okay?”
Lots of frustrated scowling when she starts fussing and he can’t calm her, he’ll get anxious and try and hand her back off to you
“She won’t stop. She doesn’t like me…here– do something…”
He’s much more comfortable watching you with the baby
And he has to admit he really enjoys seeing you as a mother
But at night he wakes up every now and then to take a peek at her and make sure she’s alright. And he smiles
The first time she giggled while he held her, his eyes lit up and his mouth hung open in a mixture of astonishment and amazement and wonder
Of course, he thought it was the most adorable damn thing and kept trying to make her giggle a bunch after that and got frustrated when she didn’t, his brow furrowing
“Come on laugh for daddy, you did it last time! What the hell-”
“Yasumasa!”
“Well, why won’t she laugh? I’m not doing anything differently, damn it”
Enjoys holding her most after he’s done training. You usually use that time to get chores done or go out shopping and more times than you can count you’ve come back to find them both passed out, her sleeping soundlessly, cradled in his arms
He also really likes feeding her.
“What?! You still want more?? How the hell can something so tiny eat so much. You get that from your mom.”
He likes to show her off to the rest of the retainers when they come to visit
“She kinda looks like you,” Tadakatsu smiles
“Of course she does, idiot,” Yasumasa sneers
“:0 So cute…” Toramatsu says warmly
Overprotective dad!!!
His worst nightmare is his kid being mobile. He really freaks out if she crawls too close to the veranda, or eats too quickly, or tries to walk and falls. Sometimes you have to step in and remind him to let her be, that kids get hurt sometimes and that’s okay. And then he just sulks about it
Likes to spike up her hair and mess with it when he bathes her, he thinks it's hilarious and he’ll laugh so hard at her there will be tears in his eyes
The older she gets the more comfortable he gets with her
Still overprotective though
He protests if she tries to waddle out to watch him while he spars, he doesn’t want to risk the chance that she might get hurt
Likes to sit her on his shoulders and walk around the town. He loves to spoil her, picking up sweets and toys on their walks (but they race to finish all of the sweets before getting home so they don’t get scolded for ruining their dinner)
When she gets old enough to start playing with other kids, if she comes home with scrapes or cuts he goes from 0-100 wanting to find out who hurt his daughter. Everyone has learned to fear Yasumasa’s wrath lol
When she gets sick he goes crazy trying everything to make her feel better. He’ll feed her, change out her cool cloth frequently, and sit by her bed reading books until she falls asleep. He’ll look at you with a pitiful face of worry until her fever finally breaks
She loves to ride horses and Yasumasa was super against it (because women shouldn’t be riding like that and she could get injured and wouldn’t she like it better learning the kitchen from her mother??) until she begged and pleaded to let her learn or at least spend time with them... and he couldn’t say no to that
It’s something they do together often, and it’s helped strengthen their relationship as she grew. He thinks she is really quite good and he never really gave any thought to horses--seeing them as anything more than just a means to get where you’re going/carry things, she really opened his eyes
They have a few special spots they race around on horseback to before stopping and viewing the scenery and having snacks together
The boys are afraid to express interest in her because they’re terrified of Yasumasa
Because his daughter is the smartest, most beautiful and precious being in this world and he would sooner die than see some POS try to court her lol he has chased more than a few of them off or threatened to kill them
She is impulsive like he is, and he loves and hates that about his daughter. Part of him admires her headstrong nature but he gets frustrated when she doesn’t do as he says. Their squabbles escalate to fights with raised voices until they both storm off in opposite directions. A lot of times after they’ve both cooled off they’ll make up on their own, but sometimes you have to intervene and play peacekeeper
Really strict, and if she doesn’t help out around the house or keep up with her studies he is putting the smackdown on her. Lots of tedious chores piled for her like he’ll make her clean and polish his armor and swords and scrub floors
But a lot of the time, he can’t stand to think she is mad at him, so he ends up caving and picking up her favorite dessert or snack as a peace offering, or inviting her to go to one of their spots so they can talk it out together
i had to think about this one. he’s similar to ieyasu in that i’m not sure how i would handle his insults but for some reason i think i could deal with yasumasa? i think he would have soft hair and i kind of just want to run my fingers through it and maybe pull on the ends a bit. so he’s a smash!
5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?
I’ve only posted two multi-chaptered stories (aside the AU, but that doesn’t count) and, aside one of them was deleted and the other one was never continued, I think I’d choose the deleted one (is it obvious that I forgot the title? LOL). Because I loved the plot I came up with and it showed very well the relationship Claude has with Wilfren. And I love Claude.
This is a little sneak peek since I don’t even remember the title but still got the file:
His eyes opened, the white ceiling being the only thing he could perfectly see. It was a dream. It was all a dream… «No, it isn’t», he thought, glancing around. The clock marked 4am. He sighed; there was no way he could go back to sleep now. His hands were shaking, his forehead pearled with sweat and his breathing was ragged… The traces of his nightmare were still there, haunting him, making him wonder if he had made the right choices in his life.
He wasn’t so sure anymore.
Claude thought he would never saw her again. He thought they had finally parted ways. He forgot about her, or so he thought. But when he saw her walk through that door, walking once again into his life, the butler knew everything was untouched. How he wished to be as heartless as the maids said.
But she didn’t come back for him.
Maybe someday I’ll re write it and post it. Or maybe someday I will write the Modern AU Kojuro fanfic I’ve been plotting since last year but never actually got it down.
6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?
Most of them. Jk.
I’d probably delete that one fanfic I wrote once as a gift for a friend, with Keith (BMP). I don’t trust my inner jerk from that time. And there’s a ton of fanfics I’ve posted in ff.net that I’d be glad to delete but I also have great memories of that time so there’s that.
7) When is your preferred time to write?
I don’t think I have a preferred time, honestly? I write when I am not too tired. Which is why I have not been writing for my giveaway, I’m so sorry ;; last week was so hectic. But if it’s too hot, I cannot write to save my life. I can’t do anything to save my life if it’s too hot, anyway.
I usually write around noon, or night, and sometimes in early morning.
8) Where do you take your inspiration from?
A little bit of everything? Lately I’ve gotten lots of ideas from wandering around Pinterest LOL and usually music gives me lots of inspo too!
