Now, some interesting facts about Krillin.
Krillin is the only Dragon Ball character whose voice actor Akira Toriyama handpicked, and that was Mayumi Tanaka. His affection for Ms. Tanaka was so great that when Krillin was killed during the Demon King Piccolo arc, he created the character of Yajirobe so that she wouldn't be left without someone to voice.
Now about Naruto's author, Masashi Kishimoto, we all know that both he and Eiichiro Oda were big fans of Akira Toriyama. Both offered really emotional condolences after the revelation of Sensei's death.
Anyway, it was only during his contribution to "Dragon Ball Super Gallery", where Kishimoto did the redraw of Dragon Ball's volume 11 cover, that he revealed that his favorite character from the work has always been Krillin.
In his words: "Out of all the many characters in Dragon Ball, my favorite is Krillin. As I read, I could really empathize with the guy desperately chasing behind the stronger Goku, who was always out in front. I could hardly contain my love for chapters where Krillin got to play a major role. Congratulations on Dragon Ball‘s 40th anniversary!"
