Sea monsters.
Not even kidding. I can’t swim out in the open ocean. I can swim at the beach but once you get out to the point where you can’t see the ocean floor anymore i can’t do it. I’m ok on boats... mostly? I don’t like to look overboard though because i’m afraid of even just seeing something down in the depths of the abyss.
like logically i know there are no ancient eldritch horrors waiting below the surface to consume the living but phobias are not logical.
