Guys. Guys please. We have to remember that protagonist is not a stand in word for hero and antagonist is not a stand in word for villain. Please. We learned this in middle school. The protagonist is the character the audience follows. The antagonist is the character who is working against the protagonist.

I don’t think Kai and Skylor are dating, nor do I think they went through like, a crazy breakup. I think they had a weird kinda will-they-won’t-they, on and off, situationship type deal that just like. Randomly died out one day and they moved on. There’s no grief or particularly strong feelings about any of it, it didn’t end badly even, I think they’re best friends that are locked tf in. They’re close good friends that every once in a while get asked things like, ‘wait, weren’t you dating Kai/Skylor?’ They have matching bracelets, tattoos maybe, and they are a little more affectionate than they are with their other friends but it will never develop any further than that.

Maybe I’m projecting bc I’ve done this multiple times with many different friends of mine, but also I just think it’s the funniest possible way to interpret their relationship.
