her parents had felt like her school was not pushing her hard enough. that even though she was top of the class in everything, she could still be doing even better than she was. so, they had taken it upon themselves to transfer her to a school that instead of being a five minute walk away from the family home, it was a twenty minute bus ride away. tabitha didn’t really mind, she knew that her parents wanted the best for her, but that didn’t make it any easier being the new kid. for starters, every teacher wanted you to stand at the front of the class, state your name, and three random things about yourself - what were you supposed to say?? no one cared if you’d never broken a bone, or if you were double-jointed. the only thing that did was cause embarrassment. it achieved nothing. on top of that, you had a whole new layout to learn, classrooms to find, and a locker code to remember. by the afternoon of her first day, tabitha was feeling well and truly flustered and - as she rushed down the corridor to her next lesson, she collided with another, her books falling to the ground. “oh my gosh...” she flushed pink with embarrassment, bending down to pick up her things quickly, before getting back up, looking at the male with a sheepish expression. “i am...so sorry. i didn’t - i should’ve been looking where i was going...but instead i was looking at this stupid map...and i can’t find my way around this place...are you okay? my books didn’t fall on you, did they?? oh i really am sorry...”
