easy does it | mouse & annie [games #003]
[She’s definitely not kidding. Annie’s usually pretty on edge—but this is taking it to a level he hasn’t seen before. He lifts the gun and opens his hands by way of disarming himself.] It’s okay—relax, love. Anyone comes by, I’ll tell ‘em you’re already killed, and I’m just takin’ you in.
[As he says it, he realizes he probably won’t take her in at all. Eh. It’s not like Calyset’s standing is particularly threatening, he thinks uncharitably, before trying to hide how proud he is when he grins and asks:] You really shot someone, though?
[Oh thank god. Annie visibly wilts with relief, her shoulders dropping, as he opens his hands and promises he won’t shoot her. Actually, getting taken prisoner by Mouse is probably ideal. Then she won’t actually have to compete, nobody can shoot her because she’s already in Torren custody, and she can just sort of... wait it out. She stammers a thank you, clutching her pistol - not like you hold a weapon, but like you hold a teddy bear after a bad dream.]
Try not to look so pleased. [Mouse sounds impressed more than anything, when he asks if she really shot someone. Annie shoots him a look, although it’s not a very intimidating look as she’s clearly still rattled.] And it wasn’t someone, it was Felix Tee. Like, did you know he was here? I hate this dumb nightmare. I have his poster in my bedroom back home and now I’ve shot him. So yeah if you could like, lock me up in Torren territory and throw away the key, that’d be... merciful.
