1013471 – How to verify the path policy in VMware ESX/ESXi 3.x and later

Perform the following steps:

Log into the ESX host using the vSphere Client (for both vCenter and stand-alone managed hosts).

Click Hosts and Clusters.

Select the Host.

Click Configuration.

Click Storage Adapters.

Right-click and select Manage Paths. Once you are in the Storage Adapters section, scroll and select the HBA adapter (SAS, iSCSI, FC). After this action has been completed, the lower pane will list all the SCSi devices (volumes) seen by the adapter. Continue from here with the steps that follow. The currently selected path policy will be listed under Path Selection.  The options that can be selected include:
