The Story Begins....
28 Ruunmir 7431
Finally.
Finally, it’s the proper time.
Their story can finally continue…
But not right away.
First…
First I need to tell a separate story.
That’s what I do, that’s my job.
I am Harmonia, the Master of Dungeons.
And my job.
IS TO TELL.
THE STORY.
We begin on the planet of Errwynia.
In the month of Ruunmir, on the 28th day, the last day of the month, when all four moons on Serencia are dark.
In the year…
Of Calypso.
The year when she finally decides to make her escape attempt from the Isles of Pantheon.
The day when she swims not for her own life, but for the lives of everyone else cursed into roles on that blasted island.
The woman with two roles.
One she could never fulfill.
And one that she despised.
But that would bring everyone else salvation.
She only had to do but one thing.
Escape.
Then, she would worry about the rest.
She was lucky that she could breathe underwater.
She was even luckier that the Sirens guarding the island allowed her to escape with her life as she swam past the barrier reef.
Why would they have let her escape? Their lives were on the line if they did. The Council would kill them, then replace them with new children.
Such was the way of the Curse of Pantheons.
It all began with a simple game, one that children played amongst themselves.
One child, as he grew, convinced others amongst the group to leave.
Lune.
All she had to do was find his descendant.
All she had to do was fulfill that blasted role she was given as a punishment.
All she had to do…
Was let them behead Cthulhu.

I just DM’ed the greatest D&D session of my life
It was so fantastic. It went off smoother than I could have hoped. I’d recruited a player who dropped out of our group because she was strapped for time to come back for one last session. I had something epic planned. Her old character, an Orc Fighter named Muldug who had left the party to report home, would suddenly appear imprisoned by the assassins the party had been chasing. I’d suggested the idea she play turncoat.
She expertly lured the players into a trap, and they barely managed to defeat her in a desperate battle that could have wiped the party. They confronted alien technologies and dangerous foes with a combination of reckless abandon, experimental curiosity and common sense. The mechanics and design sensibilities I’d been seeding throughout the campaign came together quite nicely.
The player who dealt the killing blow to our turncoat couldn’t believe what had happened, that he had killed Muldug. He also couldn’t believe that her brain literally crawled out of her skull and skittered way. He said OOC that it was his first session with ‘the feels’ and this is a player that is usually only interested in loot.
I’m so proud of my work today. I still don’t know how to get the pacing in our sessions right, but I consider my mission accomplished. 2 months of secretive planning, and to see it come to fruition was glorious. I never keep secrets!
