What happened to Daiya's legs in the mastermind drawing? It is a cool concept, though. Liked that you drew it. Also I love all your art : )
Daiya survived the crash, but barely. Mondo couldn't tell because of 1.] Adrenaline so he couldn't focus, and 2.] Grief when he thought Daiya was dead.
Police managed to save Daiya, and under his request that Mondo wasn't told he was alive, managed to get the hospital to get him prosthetics! He would've been paralyzed without them.
As for exactly how he managed to go under Mondo's radar, and how certain police helped him.. well, let's just say that just like a mastermind, I have my secrets ;)

I did see quite a few daiya fanarts with Daiya having an undercut/Pompadour and I fell in love with it. My friend reccommended the piercings!!
