Some of it is heartwarming romance. Some of it is epic tragedy. Some of it is intriguing crossover. Some of it is simple slice of life. Some of it is good. A lot of it is... problematic.
And then, there’s the fanfiction that just plain makes you stare at the screen and wonder if the writers even need drugs because they’re clearly way out of their minds already.
Today, August 24th of 2017, the RWBY Loops achieved the status of being the longest RWBY fanfiction known on the net. That’s 1,128,509 words from multiple authors all strung together in eighty five chapters of varied story snips. That’s a lot of nonsense from a lot of people.... and it’s not even over yet.
In celebration of this milestone, I have constructed this tumblr to gather artwork made by fans of fanworks. This isn’t just an ordinary RWBY fanart tumblr; this is, in fact, a tumblr made by fans, for fans, of fans. While there is some focus on the RWBY Loops--a game for artists is available specifically for this fiction, in fact--I do not intend for it to be exclusive. Show us the strangest things that you have run into while reading RWBY fanfiction--be it through quotation or the hard work of visual expression. Let us know the oddest oddities you had the oddertunity to discover. Point us to the maddest corners of the fandom--not the flame wars and the haters, but the crackfics and the speculators. Give us scenes of wonder and of horror and of sheer zaniness without context, just so we will wonder what the heck is even going on.
Because really, that level of utter ludicrousness? That is the sign that a fandom is truely developed, that we can explore everything.
