So a funny headcanon I can see them having would be that Robyn gets stressed out pretty easily with the whole weight of Atlas and Mangel and what not pretty much coming down on her, at least politically, when everything is said and done after the war. So Fiona finds herself constantly at Robyn’s side making sure she’s taking at least some self care as her official/unofficial right hand woman. Whether that’s dragging the exhausted councilwoman from her desk at night or making sure she has some food or something like that.
Not as much funny and more so wholesome I guess haha
Sun is in good company in the wasted and forgotten pile. Along with the whole of SSSN, CFVY, Ilia and the WF, the Beacon staff, and all the other characters MKEK can't be bothered to revisit because all they know is how to bloat and discard. You bet your ass they're gonna put some Atlas characters in that growing pile soon enough.
it feel like all the interesting characters are the ones that get written off or killed, in my opinion anyway. these characters have potential, and because crwby doesn't pay attention to them, that potential isn't wasted... if that makes sense.
in the meantime, we get scene after scene of jaune or rwby or whoever, and it feels oversaturated. we get so many scenes of rwby and jaune (and jnr, i guess). but the characters still hardly have any good development. i think this is why so many folks feel kinda meh towards team rwby and prefer to stan other characters instead.
i wanted to see more of team rwby at first (i think all of us did) but i did and i personally didn't like it.
it feels like crwby keep giving us scenes of team rwby because they feel like they have to, not because they want to.
and nothing illustrates this better than the last part of volume 7 and the majority of volume 8.
volume 7 had four major boss fights by its final chapters, but team rwby wasn't allowed to be part of ANY of them.
watts was dealt with by ironwood.
tyrian was confronted by qrow, clover and robyn.
neo had to deal with jnpr/ornj 2.0.
cinder fought winter and penny.
but team rwby gets stuck fighting the fucking ace ops, who are the least relevant characters in this equation. the ace ops fight was a fight that crwby could have easily cut away from, and little would have been lost.
rwby as a show suffers from a severe character bloat problem, and it sucks that characters like team cfvy, team sssnn, ilia, the ace ops, the happy huntresses, ironwood, watts, hazel and other characters with great potential have to suffer due to this.
