I feel much calmer after listening to this. And content. And a bit contemplative at the same time? I just really love his voice and may be seeing them live soon. 

2. I'm Reading: Guns, Germs and Steel by Jarod Diamond

It's very long and in depth. So far, that's all I've gotten out of it. It's interesting if you like history (like 13,000 B.C.) and I'm learning a lot. Disclaimer: I'm reading this for a course i'm taking next year. Bleh.

4. I'm Wishing For: Camp to hurry up!

I'm going to be a counselor at a camp on an island near Canada starting tomorrow for three weeks. I've been going since I was 8. Ahhh :)

5. I'm Drooling Over:

the sin dawg in my fridge. It's exactly what it sounds like. Lots of sin. And cinnamon. Some sugar. A bit of nuts on top. Bread all together. Heated up. Dear God. Delish.

Ok so decided to join in hear :)

My food is going to be: Hubbards Light & Right, Feijoa Frolic breakfast cereal.

I chose this because we brought it in shopping tonight.

On the front of the box it says: Real feijoa flakes, yoghurt covered flakes, 97% fat free, antioxidant rich feijoa fruit flakes.

So ok, sounds pretty good,

Has the Heart Foundation Tick of Approval.

Ingredients

by the looks it seems pretty healthy to me, although it dose have alot of surgers in it that I never looked at befor, but then again, if I was to buy coco puff it would probbaly be 6x the amount, so my guess is that, yes this is a healthy breakfast choice. you are all welcome to tell me why it isn't :)

Is it Healthy?

I continually walk aimlessly around grocery stores, pick up a product, read the label and wonder; so, is it healthy? Today I look at a product that I thought was a God sent, the 100 calorie packs.

When the 100 calorie packs of my favorite yet forbidden snacks hit the shelves I was thrilled. Finally I can enjoy Chips Ahoy cookies and for a mere 100 calories. At only a hundred calories it must be healthy right? Maybe not. Last year after adding on a few pounds I started following the Weight Watchers Points Plus system. I have to say I was a fan of this program because it teaches portion control and how to enjoy foods you love in moderation. Anyway, on the system a Nabisco 100 calorie pack of Chips Ahoy cookies was 3 points. I was shocked. How could I have a whole cup of cottage cheese with fruit or a 100 calorie pack for the same amount of “points”? Needless to say I stopped eating these 100 imposters and opted for whole foods. Since then I have focused my diet on more whole foods like fruits and veggies, whole grains, and healthy fats. Let’s look into this 100 calorie mystery.

Calories (per pack):100

Fat: 3 g

Saturated Fat: .5

Carbs: 18g

Fiber: less than 1g

Sugar: 7g

Protein: 1g

Ingredients: (not all listed): unbleached enriched flour, sugar, dextrose, soy lecithin, vanillin, artificial flavors

Fooducate also gives it a C-. Although it does not list Trans fat on the label it is suspected that this product does in fact contain trans fat.

So is it healthy? No. There is nothing natural or “whole” about this product. You are better off with a more natural snack instead of fillers and fake sugars.

i just made a trader joe's run and picked up some ezekiel bread (per suggestion of Carly) and some better 'n peanut butter (i've wanted to try this ever since coming across Molly's blog) 

and i just made a sandwich and it's heavenly.

1. I’M LISTENING TO: What am I to You from Adventure Time, I keep singing it over and over again.

2. I’M READING: The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen. I like that it has different point of views and that everyone is tied together in this little town.

3. I’M LUSTING AFTER: All the new gum out at my work, I love trying new gum and it killed me to leave without buying them, but only $4 in the bank and no gas in my car prevented it.

4. I’M WISHING: That my room would magically clean itself and that all my clothes would dance themselves over to the laundry room and take a bath and come back and fold and hang themselves neatly lol

5. I’M DROOLING OVER: Pad See Ewe!! It's my favorite thai food ever and I just want some!! I love getting it mild and focusing on the flavor!
