For some wild reason, Atlas found himself outside of the hospital, flowers in hand. He wanted to thank Layla for the job she’d done on his head and maybe he wanted to apologize for leaving and not looking back. The flowers had been hand selected by Niko, the flower shop guy that Atlas had been pointed in the direction of. From what he could tell, they looked great. That, and a few passing nurses, all of which looked good, had complimented the arrangement. If he hadn’t of planned this out already, maybe he would’ve shifted gears a bit.
“Hey man, you wouldn’t have a pen on you, would you? Weird question, I know, but I forgot to sign the card,” he exhaled, feeling like a total idiot. “Trying to surprise this chick I used to see or whatever. She fixed me up pretty good and I wanted to thank her,” he pointed out, holding up the flowers. Maybe it would’ve been a good plan, but the hickey on the side of his neck said otherwise. Hell, maybe she wouldn’t even notice. “Probably should’ve thought about this though,” he pointed out, the dark purple mark on his neck a little more obvious it seemed than he’d realized. “Anyway, it’s cool if not. Might just leave them at the front desk and let them figure it out.”
