I’ve been kinda MIA for a few days due to stress and school... but I’m happy to announce that I have just been accepted to another summer math research program (REU)!!!!! I’m gonna make a longer post about this later and some YouTube videos because I have SOOOO much to say, but yeah! This is so exciting!!

This was one of my top choice programs for a few weeks now, but I’m still weighing my options between this program and the one I got into last week. There’s a lot of pros and cons of both programs, but I’m sure that wherever I end up, I’ll be in great hands ❤️

Thanks to all my mathblr friends for their support, especially ones I talked to throughout the application process! This is one step toward getting to where I want to be, but it’s such a big one for me because I don’t have research opportunities at my own school ☺️

Can studying at MIT be considered my new favorite pastime?

I’m at the Barker Engineering Library, one of my all time favorite places to study when I go to visit MIT. It’s extremely quiet, except when the tourists come in for tours. I’m working on my CV today for my REU applications. It feels kinda empty and it makes me feel bad about myself :( I guess it’s fine, though.

I got to have lunch with one of my friends here. I’m feeling pretty productive today and I’m feeling pretty good!

Also, “beeves” is an acceptable way to say the plural of beef ?!!
