One of my biggest complaints with Android Wear devices has been that they aren't very good at responding to incoming notifications and alerts. Sure, you can speak to the watches and have them transcribe your text, but that experience is pretty terrible for anything other than the most basic of text messages or Google Now actions. They simply haven't been very good at two way communications. The Apple Watch demos look like Apple has cracked that.

Not all of us from Wired are at the event. Some (like me) are watching Apple's live stream via the Internet. Or at least, trying to watch. So far, this has been a miserable experience, with test pattern screens, video that stops and starts, and a voiceover in what I think is Chinese.
