Neodesign's body kit for Daewoo matiz
A balanced savory & zesty lunch
🐟-Matiz Spicy Sardines in Olive Oil
🥔-Baked potato topped with butter, garden chives, salt & pepper
🍋-Lemon wedges to squeeze
This pairing of the warm buttery potato and spicy sardines offered a lovely and balanced combination, the acidity from the lemon was perfect to cut through the richer notes of the two.
These Matiz sardines were especially lovely, it was my first time trying this tin. They had a softer mild heat, the fish was a perfect texture and just melted in the mouth. Would definitely eat these again!!

Rigatoni with tinned octopus
This shit is delicious! I boiled up some rigatoni pasta, and while it was boiling, I cracked open the Matiz can and drained the oil into a small pot over medium heat. I added 1 tbsp butter, and added 1 tsp smoked paprika and 1/2 tsp curry powder to simmer in the hot oil, plus a dash of fish sauce for umami. I diced some campari tomatoes and simmered them until a little soft (but not mushy), then added the octopus from the can and let that warm thru, plus a dollop of lime juice.
I poured that all over the drained pasta and ate it right up! I dragged each noodle through the broth so it would capture the broth and it was damned delightful. I will absolutely do that again, maybe with some saeujeot, or Korean salted shrimp for extra yummy
