the kid who tries to decipher a reason for jack to turn on them at the rally, who trails after him tryin to get jack to talk to him, to look at him, only for jack to push past him anyways
the kid who watches him go. he lets himself be deeply hurt by it for a few seconds before pushing anger and pure determination to the front, sos he can keep anything else from fallin apart
the kid who falls right back in to jacks side with their age-old secret handshake, because they need each other, everyone needs this to work
the kid who hugs or wrestles or handshakes or celebrates with Every Single Newsie after they get their papes when they win. literally everyone, and chases someone down if they manage to sneak past him
