Action & Action by The Get Up Kids, then and now
I'm in search of two podcasts Frank did with Matt Pryor (The Get Up Kids) quite a few years back.
The name of the podcast is Nothing to Write Home About with Matt Pryor and it seems to have been deleted from the internet.
Kiki ( on Twitter) was the one to have made this discovery and she has since collected on a google drive all of Frank's (also Gerard's ) available podcasts for archival purposes but we haven't managed to find these two missing ones. I'm hoping someone else saved them. Do share if you have any information.
All I could find in this:
A bit of info on each episode, and the date the last one was released in 2015. The "Frank Iero Returns!" episode is said to feature a cover of a Daniel Johnston song at the end and after a little bit of searching I found this video from 11/27/15 at the Granada Theater in Lawrence, Kansas where Matt comes on stage to sing Daniel Johnston's "True Love Will Find You In The End" near the end of "Prettiest Girl..."
I assume the recording on the podcast might be this duet featured in the video but with better quality or they might just have done it again for the podcast. Either way, I desperately want it.

Episode 630: Matt Pryor (of The Get Up Kids)
With a name borrowed from the Get Up Kids’ second EP, Red Letter Days finds front man Matt Pryor delving deep into personal stories.
The memoir was adapted – in part – from the musician’s journals, beginning with his childhood diabetes diagnoses, through his musical journey.
Formed in Kansas in the mid-90s, the Get Up Kids went on to become one of the most influential acts of emo’s second wave (referred to as the tongue-in-cheek “e-word” throughout).
Pryor joins us to discuss his musical life, personal struggles and the act of getting it all down on paper.

Pass Through Frequencies
Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World recently started a new podcast called Pass Through Frequencies. It’s mostly about songwriting and he’s had a number of guests that I really like: Mike Kinsella (of American Football, Owen, etc), Bob Nanna (of Braid, Hey Mercedes, etc), Ken Andrews (of Failure), Chris Carrabba (of Dashboard Confessional and Twin Forks), Matt Pryor (of The Get Up Kids), and Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service) among others. In addition to being available as an audio podcast, the episodes are also available on YouTube as videos. Here’s the episode with Mike Kinsella:
