Matta - Galaxies (Mysticism Of Infinity)
Roberto Sebastian Matta, "Design of Intention," 1975,
Patinated steel, painted wood,
12¾ h × 27 w × 11 d in (32 × 69 × 28 cm)
Amanda Matta was recently on BBC for whatever reason. She is fully trying to be a “royal expert” now. Seriously, even the BBC had her. She’s a troll. Does she even live in the UK? Her knowledge seems to be just things Americans think they know about royalty and aristocracy, like for example, oh we know for sure aristocrats are all having affairs behind each other’s back as if that’s a common fact that we all should know. How can this person even have sources about the private lives of aristos? Can other royal expert wannabes please step up because I can’t take any more of Matta being legitimized by the media as a “royal expert”. 😩
She lives in Harrisburg, PA. Her tagline - her actual tagline that's on all of her news articles, socials, and her website - is "TikTok's #1 royal commentator" and she has "sharp wit."
And you might want to sit down for this next part: Matta has a book deal and her first book is, as she describes it, "A Commoner's Guide to the British Monarchy," a fact-based historical overview going all the way back to 1066 to show/discuss how the monarchy turned into what it is today and how the modern royals operate.
She is putting her whole art history, museum studies background into this, even doing illustrations, and she's so excited because she believes that you really need to know the history to understand the royals today and where they're going.
(She made a TikTok about it. I watched it so you don't have to.)
